(Depending on availability, Newgrange may be substituted with a visit to Knowth monument).

Then, depart for the trip to Trim Castle, filming site for scenes from the movie 'Braveheart'. Follow your guide on a tour of the castle, considered the finest example of a Norman castle in Ireland. Stop for lunch at the Trim Castle Hotel (own expense).

Depart for the Hill of Tara around mid-afternoon. Upon arrival, embark on a guided tour that includes stops at the Fairy Tree, the Well of the White Calf, the Mound of the Hostages, the Fort of Kings and the Stone of Destiny.

I called Liam a borderline genius, bur you can drop the borderline part. His explanations and his knowledge of each place and the ancient mystical ways made the tour much more than I expected. I recommenf that if you want to visit Newgrange and the hill of Tara gi with Liam. Much more than just a tour guide. He makes each place come alive and he makes you think. Call him now!!!!

Guided by a True folklore believer

The sights did not disappoint. The guide, however, did. When the dowsing/diving rods were brought out, we knew that hitorical fact was not going to be had. Liam is a true folklore believer, and came off as somewhat of an evangelist, preaching his beliefs. For those with a beliefs in science, hooky is the only term that comes to mind. The trip is very guided, no free time at the stops. It was also evident that we were speeding from stop to stop to make up time. The van is not air conditioned and did get quite hot, because it just happened to be sunny that day. And finally, our pictures were posted on Liam' website without authorization.

Hi thanks for taking the time to share and I am glad the sights did not disappoint . I do believe that the ancients possess a great wisdom which is of relevance to modern man and my intention on to tour is simply to share some of those insights particularly as they pertain to Newgrange and the Hill of Tara .I do make reference to the many scientific studies that have been undertaking at sacred sites around the world and the book list I supply on my website allows the curious or the dubious to investigate further ,should they wish to do so . The tour itinerary is a very full one ( 9 to 10 hours ) and the vast majority of my guests have commented that the tour is well organised and evenly paced . There is air conditioning in the mini bus but most guests prefer to open the windows and avail of the fresh country air . I take photos throughout the day as a courtesy to my guests and post them on my website where they are downloadable --- they are deleted after 4 weeks .During the course of the tour ,guests are Asked if they would like to have photos taken and where they indicate no their wishes are of course respected always . If you would like your photos removed please let me know and I will delete them immediately Best Wishes Liam

A GREAT OUTING

We have been on a number of day tours in the last couple of years with excellent guides and so our expectations are pretty high. Our day with Liam exceeded our expectations. It was an excellent day. We learned SO much from him. He took our concept of the Ancient sites to levels we didn't know existed. He enriched our knowledge of Irish History, Mythology and folk lore. Liam's passion for these were obvious. The group size of 15 was perfect. No question was unanswered. We enjoyed our day so much we contacted him later in our trip hoping to join him on a Wicklow outing but he was not going to be in the area at the same time. Thanks Liam. Our day with you was among the highlights of our month in Ireland.

Fun tour with lots packed in

Liam was a great guide and really knowledgeable about the history and lore of the places we visited. The sites were also close enough to each other that you never felt like you were in the car too long. The only thing I might have changed was to have given us a chance to explore the town of Trim -- look in the shops and maybe pick our lunch spot ourselves. Where we ate was fine, but it was a cute town and I'd have liked to play around a bit.

Hi KVTH Thank you for your kind remarks and for taking the time to share . The tour is 9 hours long and the schedule tight --which does not leave time for exploring the town of Trim .Of course anyone is free to skip lunch and explore the town should they choose to do so . Take Care Liam

Our guide had a profund historical knowledge and opened us new insights of the very past (Neolithicum) Tara Hill. Due the tide season the program had to be changed, that was a little bit unfortunate. (visit NewGrange) But overall very interesting!
