Nice day of wine tasting and fresh oysters

I definitely enjoyed our experience at the 3 wineries and getting to eat fresh oysters from the sea. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly so the longer drive didn't seem so long with conversation. The only part that was maybe a waste of time was stopping in Ston. It is known for the salt they produce and the lengthy walls around the fortress but the town is nothing special and you don't even get to see the salt production up close. We had downtime in the town for a bit which is verrrrrrrrryyyy small and I felt it was a waste of time where most people just used the restroom and got an espresso.
disappointing tour

The tour started out poorly with us at our pick up site for a good half hour when they call to tell us we have to take a taxi (at our cost) to distant pickup site. No apologies or offers to make good. And we find out that the van had picked up two couples at that site - so they obviously just forgot about us since we were there. The wines were okay at the first stop and genuinely horrid at the second stop. Some seriously flawed wines with aromas that could only come from bacteria. They failed to tell us that the third winery was providing lunch - they simply said that lunch was on our own. We assumed a restaurant where we could pay with a credit card. The guide accepted only Cash for the lunch at 30 Euros per person. We had to waste time on the trip looking for an ATM. Genuinely disappointed to have wasted a day in beautiful Croatia.
Great day

We had a great time on this tour. The first stop was for fresh oysters pulled from the bay and served on the half shell with a squeeze of lemon - delicious! We like that we tasted a wide variety of wines throughout the day - from crisp whites to champagne, dry reds to dessert wines. Our guide was both knowledgeable and friendly. The best part of the day was meeting the other couples in our group. We are from California, one couple was from Ireland, another from South Africa and another from Norway. We had so much fun sharing stories of both our travels and our home countries and of course drinking and laughing together all day! That made the day extra special. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Hate oysters! Scared to taste them, but these were amazing and an excellent intro to a food/wine-tasting extravaganza. Wines and wineries were all fantastic, enhanced by a comprehensive tour of the peninsula. The ultimate aspect was our guide, Mario, a WSET professional who had the right answer for every question. Would recommend to anyone.

This was an excellent tour from start to finish. Mario was highly informative and taught us a lot about Croatian wine as well as about wine in general. Even from a person who doesn't like oysters, the oyster farm experience was amazing! You will never have a fresher oyster than the one plucked right out of the ocean! We have been on many wine tours but this one has, by far, been the best! Thank you Mario for such a wonderful day! We would recommend this tour to anyone who is remotely interested in Croatian wine!

Wine guide was friendly and fun. Super small group, the fresh oysters and white wine combo at our first stop was kind of a surreal dream. Definitely learn quite a bit about the history of Croatian wine, with lots of samples and no hangover the next day!

This was a great tour for anyone interested in learning about, and tasting, wine. We were picked up at our hotel and spent the entire day with our personal wine guide. He shared his insight and expertise on wine and food pairings which meant we also got to try some very yummy food!. A highlight for us was the quick boat ride out to sample some very fresh oysters paired with a nice white wine. I highly recommend this won't be disappointed!!
