Thus was a really great day. The scenery was incredible. As a photographer I kept wanting to say Stop! Perast is beautiful and a little more time there would be lovely. Our Lady's island was crowded and I didn't get inside (I was happy taking photos of the stutting landscapes though!) I would love to see Kotor less crowded but there were 2 cruise ships in port. I saw this as a taster and I'll be back! Great guides.

Great trip - bussed to Perast to tour Our lady of the rocks then took the boat to Kotor - great guides on bus and boat - would be good to have more than 2 hours in Kotor rather than rush back for 5pm arrival

Disappointing tour

By far the most disappointing tour of our trip. We were the first to be picked up and drove on the bus for 1 1/2 hours picking up passengers. Finally on our way, held up at the border for 1 hour 45 minutes. When we finally got to see the Lady of the Rock our guide tells us we have 15 minutes because the island was full. No options. The other tour guides were getting their groups into the chapel, but ours didn’t even try. This was our main interest and we were not even given the chance to try, Our visit to Kotor was ok . On the way back the same delay at the border. Our guide did not make one stop on the return trip; it was obvious she wanted to get back in a hurry. A little girl was forced to relieve herself in the bushes on the side of the road. In my opinion the worst planned tour.

Very well planned Day trip from Dubrovnik to Kotor, covering all places across the bay. The whole trip was perfectly on time and also enough time was provided for the travelers to roam on their own as well. i would highly recommend this trip

Overall I really enjoyed this tour, our guide provided insight into the general Croatian way of life bringing things more into perspective. Once arriving at our first tour stop (The Lady of the Rocks), we took the boat out to the island, unfortunately because of the crowd on the island the time available to actually go into the church was minimal and I didn't get to see everything I would have like to. For those who didn't go to the island the small town was cute and provided enough walking area to cover the short stop time. On the way to Kotor we go a brief on the lay out of the city and a map which was very helpful. I highly suggest climbing the city walls, the view is fantastic and I still had about 1.5 hrs left to wander the city itself when I got back down. The boarder crossings were minimal delays about an hr leaving and maybe 5 minutes coming back, based on the way we were being prepared though this was like nothing. Overall I highly recommend this tour.

A day trip from Dubrovnik.A straight forward drive and not much of a delay at customs both ways. Beautiful scenery en-route.The bay of Kotor is stunning with a must visit to Lady of the Rock. A full day is required to see the sights in Kotor.

The 2 cities we visited were stunning and the boat ride to the island is something you definitely need to do. The tour guide was nothing special though and i was a little bummed that in Kotor city there was no group tour explaining the area. She just left us and told us to meet back at the bus...I was expecting a walking tour :( But overall everything went smoothly and we were very happy.

Delightful Destination. Terrible Transport.

As the title suggests, our experience with Kotor Bay as a day trip destination was wonderful. Getting there and back, however, was a different story. To start, we were not notified in advance of the extreme (2+ hours) delays expected at the border crossing. Once we were ready to head back at the end of the day, the group was assembled some 15mins. away (by foot) from where the bus was holding. We walked in 100+ degree summer heat and sun to get to our bus. Once on the bus, the guides seemed disinterested in or unwilling to turn on the air conditioning. There, perhaps, was some confusion as a result of the language barrier (all guides did speak English with relative fluency), but we had to request three separate times for them to lower the air temperature on the bus, after having walked outside in the heat and sun to get to the bus. After waiting in traffic at the Montenegro/Croatia border for over 2.5 hours on the way back, the bus pulled away from the checkpoint before the guides verified that all passports had made it back onto the bus. This gave several passengers anxiety, ourselves included. We were about seven or eight kilometers into Croatia before my friend and I were handed our passports back. While on the return trip, our guide informed us that some of us would be transferring to a shuttle bus for hotel drop-offs. Nowhere was this plan communicated to us in advance. Before any passengers were dropped off at their destinations, one of the guides was dropped off at her own destination, leaving all guests still on the bus. For those of us who were assigned to the secondary shuttle, we then had to collect our things, exit the coach, and reboard an entirely different bus for the "last leg" home. The disorganization, lack of customer service, and lack of professionalism nearly soured the excursion. If the destination of Kotor weren't so spectacular, I'd have rated this "Poor" based on the transportation alone.

Good trip if you have extended time in Croatia

My husband and I went on this day trip to Montenegro 8/3/19. The good - our guide, Rosa, was engaging and informative. The drive was lovely, and the border crossings were not bad at all. From the other reviews we read, we were expecting to be delayed at the borders pretty significantly, but it was no problem for our tour. We loved Perast - in fact, we really would have liked some more time there. We only had 20 minutes at Lady of the Rock, and there were so many interesting things to see. The boat ride from Perast to Kotor was fun, but honestly, we could have done without visiting Kotor. It was nice, but very touristy, and we didn't need the two and half hours we were given to walk around. Our overall feeling - if you have more than one extra day in Dubrovnik, and haven't visited Montenegro before, it's a good trip. But we had a short vacation as it was, and I think we would have preferred an extra day in Dubrovnik.
