Extortionate price to walk the walls

The guides we had for these two tours, Branko and Jelena were both very knowledgeable about all things Dubrovnik and we had a great time. However, doing them both together there is duplication of information when you take the walls tour, after first having done the walking tour. I would also like to point out that although it says the cost of entering the walls is not included, it should advise of the cost. For 2 adults this was £55. (Children are £11) If I had known this initially, I would only have done the walking tour as the walls are great but not worth paying £55 for on top of the tour price. I appreciate that there is always the upkeep of such ‘monuments’ but having travelled the world extensively, I have never paid such a high figure to walk around a walled city. My recommendation is just to do the Dubrovnik walking tour and view the walls from below.

This is a well organised tour and on the city walk part we had a very friendly and funny guide Called Branko who gave us a great over view on the history of Dubrovnik. The second part of the day was a walk of the wall we had Davor as our guide who gave us a very good unbiased overview of the 1990’s war. May only negative feedback is more to the company who organises this combo tour and that is there is too much overlapping of the same information when you do both tours and with that in mind I would recommend doing the city walk with a guide and doing the walls on your own as it’s a repeat of the history from the city walk! even with the guide you have to pay to enter the walls separately anyway.

Dear Yvonne, Yes, you pay the Walls entrance separately and we wrote that at least 3-6 times on all the websites where we sell our tours. We sell tours, not any entrance tickets and we make that very clear. We are surprised to hear that you think there was overlapping between two completely different tours. Both Davor and Branko are very professional and helpful guides, who do have certain topics to follow, but we are not strict on this, we also give them a lot of freedom in what they talk about; they probably wanted to go above and beyond with their explanations so that everyone in the group can fully enjoy this experience. Sometimes people ask questions, the guides cannot be rude, they have to answer...I guess they went into details of something you already heard, but I am 99.9% sure that this happened on maximum of 1 topic (3 minutes). We don't think that either deserves 3*. As for the company, this is a small local family owned business, not a corporation as you obviously think. We support and respect both our guides and our guests. We've been doing this sunce 2006, for 15 years. We sell awesome tours with pride. We don't work for reviews and unlike so many small family owned businesses we don't fear them. Majority of our guests rates all our tours with 5* and that speaks volume. We thank them for that. This review will harm us and the timing is awful, but it will not destroy us. We cannot please everyone. We are well aware of that. We can just keep on doing our best and rest assured, we shall. Davor was an incredible guide and made the tours fun. The Walls tour was incredible. Very interesting with amazing views. The Old Town tour (for which the company changed the time on us the day before) was much less interesting. Davor made it better with a few great stories, but in general the tour was not worth it.

This was a lovely tour. Our guide Jadranka gave us all the information we wanted to know, entertained us with stories from history and was very helpful and informative. The tour was well organized and well paced so it wasn't a problem to walk around even in the heat. I think this is a good combination for seeing the main sights of Dubrovnik.

Very Interesting City and Walls . Unfortunately spoiled by Overly Political Guide. While we understand the severe difficulties during the 1990s siege , the political diatribe was constant . We left the group and toured the wall on our own.

Both guides were excellent but there was quite a lot of duplication in the commentaries. A bit awkward navigating the walls in a big group so maybe do that one on your own and enjoy learning the history during the old town tour.

We did the combined tours:: the tour of the Old Town first with Branko and then the Ancient Walls with Davor. Branko was amazing. He spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about his subject. We loved his sense of humour, and his passion for the history of Dubrovnik and Croatia. He is a remarkable guide. The Ancient Walls tour with Davor was also excellent. Spectacular views brought alive by Davor's excellent knowledge of Dubrovnik's history. He had excellent English and again a strong passion for his subject. I highly recommend both tours. Take lots of cold water.

Just came back from Dubrovnik and went on two tours with Marko. An incredibly knowledgable and entertaining guide. Loved the fact that we were handed rain poncho as it was raining. When you book the duo tour in the morning ("war and walls' and 'city tour') , just check that they are booked one after the other if you have other things planned in the afternoon. Although we were able to change the time of our second tour very easily so it was not a problem for us in the end
