Full-Day Tour to the Scottish Highlands

Brian was both tour guide and bus driver. As a native Scotsman who has spent decades as both guide and vacationer, he had an insider’s perspective on the history, politics and culture of the highlands. Perfect weather added to a stellar day, touring Loch Ness, several beautiful towns and my favorite, a field of long haired highland cows. Brian’s humor and excellent selection of traditional and contemporary music created a joyful backdrop. Fantastic experience all around.

We did the Highlands Tour including The Three Sisters and Loch Ness and it was amazing! Davie was a great driver. He was super friendly, very funny and knew a great deal about all the things we passed and stopped at. He went the extra mile, had water for everyone and even made extra stops for us. He knew about little top tips everywhere stopped. The itinerary was great and one can see a lot of Scotland’s nature in a short amount of time, yet it didn’t feel rushed. All in all, a very nice experience and worth every penny. I highly recommend booking with Julie and Davie!

My family, including my son were waiting by 8am in the cold at the bus stop, but no bus. After several minutes I called the tour operator, no answer. Called again a few minutes later and was told sorry the guide doesn’t feel well your tour is now cancelled. Luckily Rabbies tours saved the day instead and we were able to book a great trip (probably even better) for less $.

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour of the Highlands with 6 Star Tours and our guide Dave, who is also the owner of the tour company. There is a reason he named his company 6 Stars, because that is the quality of the experience they provide. The motor coach was immaculate and very comfortable. From the minute we arrived for our tour we experienced gracious hospitality, starting with tea and homemade shortbread cookies. Dave is extremely knowledgeable about Scotland and enjoys sharing the countries history and stories. He has a wealth of knowledge which he shares interspersed with fun stories and lore. Scotland is a gorgeous country and just being able to view the scenery is a treat. Our first stop was to meet Hamish and Honey, 2 Highland long-haired cattle. We got to feed them, pet them and best of all pose for photos! We also had the opportunity to shop (my favorite activity) and grab a snack. Then we were off to see the many Lochs and Castles, through the countryside, passed the Three Sisters (take the tour to find out what they are!), Quick stop for a traditional Scottish lunch and off to Loch Ness. Definitely take the additional boat cruise on Loch Ness to learn the history and theories about the Monster. The return trip to Edinburgh was equally enjoyable and filled with music. Dave as a wonderful voice, has a great range of musical knowledge. He doesn't put anyone on the spot to participate, he just wants everyone to enjoy themselves. It's a Whiskey toast at the War Memorial, a stop for fabulous ice cream and a scenic drive back to Edinburgh. A long but very enjoyable day in to the Highlands.

This tour is amazing worth every penny and more it’s like going on a road trip with your best friends. Davie the tour guide is very knowledgable and makes you feel very involved and the other people on the tour were regulars which says a lot that they keep coming back to the same tour you know it’s good. Love how they all involved my 7 year old nephew as well he loved it. Will definitely book again when I’m back up.

Our tour guide Davie was a friendly lad, lucky enough to have him as our guide and driver. He took us around the highlands and allowed us to stop at viewpoints to take photos of the amazing scenery. The Three Sisters had to be my personal favourite viewpoint, such incredible mountainous formations. Our group had the mini bus to ourselves and Davie was always there waiting for us after finishing tour activities ready to visit the next site. He was also kind enough to provide free drinks for the kids and whiskey shots for the adults during the tour. 10/10 experience would recommend for family, friends, just anyone! Die Tour und die ausgewählten Stopps waren fantastisch. Unser Guide hat uns mit viel Humor, viel Geschichtliches und viel über die Landschaft erzählt. Es war ein langer Tag, aber es wurde durch seine Art nie langweilig. Er war außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend und hat immer dafür gesorgt, dass sich alle wohl fühlen. Es fühlte sich an wie eine Tour mit Freunden. Ein tolles Erlebnis, einfach nur zu empfehlen.
