9:00 AM
This activity will end right where it started.
Your full-day excursion sets off from Edinburgh in the morning. Meet your guide in the city center and take a comfortable seat in a top of the range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach. Enjoy morning views of the city as you cross the Forth Road Bridge, one of the world's longest cantilever bridges.

Cruise through the Lowlands into the Highlands, where farmland gives way to mountains and thick forests, the setting for many historic tales such as ‘Birnam Wood’ in Macbeth. Your first stop is the Hermitage, a natural wonderland, for a stroll through fir-lined paths along the River Braan.

After your nature walk, climb back in the coach for a drive through the River Tay valley. Admire the winding river—the longest in Scotland—as you make your way to the charming town of Pitlochry. Here, enjoy free time to explore this popular vacation destination. Admire the architecture as you stroll past small shops and eateries, then grab lunch (own expense), and pop into a local whisky distillery.

Next, enjoy tasting the 'water of life' at Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery (or Glenturret Distillery if Dewar's is closed). The day finishes with a visit to Dunkeld Cathedral and the scenic areas of Dunkeld, Perth, and Kinross. After a day of sightseeing, relax for the ride back to Edinburgh, arriving at Waterloo Place in the evening.

My husband and I had an excellent time on this tour and would highly recommend it. Our tour guide, Duncan, was extremely knowledgeable about the area and Scottish history. Duncan is funny and passionate about his job which made this tour super enjoyable. It was a great way to see the Highlands and get out of Edinburgh for the day.

Great trip with a lot of great sites and views from all over the Highlands. Iain was a fabulous guide with great stories and great music along the way. Only suggestion would be to spend a little less time at the Hermitage and a little more time in Pitlochry for lunch. Otherwise a fabulous trip.

Greaem and his knowledge of the history of Scotland and the Highlands made the experience a very memorable one. The Queen's View was extraordinary and getting to taste whiskey that is not sold was exciting and delicious.

Iain did a great job, knew the best places for photo opportunities and did great job on telling the history of the area. Could turn music down a couple notches, particularly after the whisky tasting. Otherwise great.

We loved the small group format, which meant we weren't moving around in a massive group. The guide was very informed, and what she didn't know, she found out while we were on stops. I would use them again for a trip further into the Highlands.
