Perfect Family Experience

Our family- including four teens- were amazed by this trip. Our tour guide, Wayne, was knowledgeable and friendly. He let us know the plan for the day and keep us on track to see everything. Leticia, our Navajo guide in Antelope Canyon, told us stories and shared information about her culture. She also helped us get great photos as we wound our way though the slot canyon. This was an experience that will be remembered and should not be missed! It was also nice to travel in a small group. Take a day to do this tour if you can.

This was too much driving for us. The majority of the time is spent in the car. Sad that this is the only way to see antelope canyon because it was so beautiful but you had to keep masks on the whole time and there were other people everywhere. We would have much rather explored on foot but our guide was very knowledgeable about geology and the land which was fun to hear about. Glad we got to see it but definitely won’t book again. The company did good job but the experience wasn’t what we were looking for.

Thank you for your comments about your trip including the walking tour of Antelope Canyon and hike to Horseshoe Bend.. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the beauty of Antelope Canyon and the knowledgeable narration by your guide..
Arizona covers a large geographic area and many of the most beautiful destinations are a bit remote so they do require some driving. We believe that the stunning scenery is worth the drive and our guides help pass the time with their commentary about the scenery and Navajo culture. With respect to masks, we adhere to current requirements for the safety of our guests and guides. We appreciate your understanding in these unique times.

I highly recommend this tour especially if you’re traveling alone! I was not only able to see the beautiful side of the northern part of Arizona but I was also able to meet new people from around the world!! The guided tour made for an easy and productive day! We definitely cover a lot of ground! Sheldon was an awesome tour guide! He was patient fair and very knowledgeable!

Our Navajo guide would get a 12 out of 10. He went out of his way not only to give you all the information we desired, he took many pictures of all of us in the group. Each of us went home with amazing photos of ourselves in this fabulously beautiful place.
It is nature at its best.

The visit to the Antelope X was incredible - however, there were a few things that kept the entire experience from a 5 star review. First, we reserved a tour for Upper Antelope Canyon, and discovered the day before the tour that we had been switched to Antelope X (was told it was because Upper Antelope was an extremely popular tour - which is why we booked it months ahead...) When I expressed disappointment that we were not getting what we originally booked and paid for, the woman from the tour company said that I could cancel and they would refund our money. Seeing that members of our family were arriving from San Francisco and Seattle for this tour, that really was not a good option. We were a group of 5, and when picked up in Flagstaff the only seats available in the van were in the back as 6 people were already onboard starting in Sedona. The van suspension was horrible, and we were bounced around to the point that the seatbelt was still not enough support to keep us from being lifted completely off the seat. Now for the good/great part of the trip. Our Navajo guide once we arrived at Antelope X was incredible!! Her name was Arlinda, and not only was she so knowledgeable and informative, but she had a great personality and was a joy to be around. She helped us in getting great photos with instructions for our phones. The canyon itself was a work of art that nature provided. We will book another trip to the slot canyons with another company - and this next time will hopefully make it to Upper Antelope Canyon which is what we wanted in the first place. The stars awarded to this review were completely for Arlinda, our Navajo guide, and the beauty of the slot canyon.
Unbeatable Tour!

We took the 10 hour tour to Antelope Canyon and had Ed as our tour guide. It was a 2 hour drive to the canyon that Ed filled with interesting information about what we were seeing as we drove as well as explanations about the different Indian cultures. He was a wealth of information and made the 2 hours fly by.
Wonderful experience! Go!!!

I would not recommend this trip. On the whole it was not a pleasant experience. It was a long, hot day - many hours of driving in an inadequately air-conditioned van. There has to be a better way to see Antelope Canyon (though you can't just do it alone - you need a Navajo guide). and the other stops (Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon, and Cameron Trading Post) you can easily do on your own, in the comfort of your own car. The driver/'guide' added nothing to the experience.
Also, the Viator page for this trip shows a long list of covid precautions supposedly being followed by this tour operator. Not true. Almost no one else was even wearing a mask (except at Antelope Canyon where it was required by the reservation) - and that included the driver. (I certainly didn't feel it was my place to be the bad guy and attempt to have the tour company's supposed policy enforced.)
Antelope Canyon is definitely worth seeing, and our Navajo guide was very good, which is why I'm giving the tour 2 instead of 1.

We ended up going to The Grand Canyon with Brad. Loved Brad and his extensive knowledge on everything in the area. My husband and I liked the tour and Brad so much, we can’t wait to visit again!! We will do Antelope Canyon next time as things improve. Thanks for suggesting the alternative experience. It was great!!!
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
