Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Make your own way to the centrally located office to meet your professional chef-guide before your afternoon or evening tour starts.

Transfer by minibus to a private estate situated in the hills above Florence. Start your culinary experience with a tasting of a traditional fettunta (toast with toppings) appetizer accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine. Soak in views of the rolling hills as your instructor shares the backstory of Italy's famous foods: pizza and gelato.

Next your chef-instructor shows you how to make pizza dough, and explains regional variations. After preparing the dough, select the topping ingredients that you like from the assortment of fresh vegetables harvested from the estate gardens. Your pizza is then baked traditional-style in the wood oven. When ready, sit down to enjoy your pizza accompanied by wine or beer.

For dessert, learn to make a creamy gelato that can be accompanied by toppings and sauces. Your instructor provides recipes for the pizza and gelato so that you can make them at home.

Your culinary experience ends with a return trip to your starting point in Florence.

Max, Luigi and infamous Lucca do a great job in an entertaining yet professional way to explain the making of a real italian pizza as well as gelato. A stunning location on the putskirts of Florence, one of the best cooking classes we attended with our family. Our kids of 11-13 loved it. “Lucca, we love you!” Ronald & Nancy (Reagan)

Luca, Luigi and Chris were really lovely hosts, pleasant, professional and funny. We spent a wonderful time togethers and made some top class pizzas and gelato (I just couldn’t believe how tasty it was!). Also for our 12 year old son it was the highlight of the trip. I warmly recommend it!

Amazingly fun night and the highlight of our trip to Florence! We were lucky to have the whole experience to ourselves with just our family of 4. #thankyoucovid. Lucca and Luigi were so much fun and made pizza making an experience to remember. We know they teach so many classes to so many tourists but they made us feel like we were special. :) It was also interesting to learn how to make gelato with Max. We especially loved the liquid nitrogen demonstration! All of the flavor combinations were so good, especially the lemon basil. Definitely book this experience. Totally worth it!!

A evening to remember!

We had a very nice evening! The group was small, so we were sent to the villa with own taxi's. Max was waiting for us and gave us a warm welcome. He showed us the area and later on how to make gelato. Luigi en Luca explained us how to make pizza, but did that with so much fun. They were friendly, helpfull and did their best to leave us with a evening to remember. The kitchen and all the materials we worked with were clean and quit new. Really enjoyed this!
