A whistle-stop tour of Tuscany
Stacie_E
, Aug 2022
This was my final day in Florence and I was ready for a change of scenery. I did a self guided tour of Pisa the day before and was disappointed as the city was only really a tourist trap (bad food, crowds, little charm) and this tour was to take the bad taste out of my mouth, so to speak. I liked the tour guide a lot, Constantin, who spoke an incredible 5 languages and could tell dad jokes in both English and Spanish. His partner guide Vincenza and the driver Raoul were excellent too. I loved the length of time we got to spend in Siena and I got to see a lot there on my self-guided tour. San Gimignano was beautiful but I needed more time there really, it was definitely too short to have only 1 hour here. The only part I didn't like was the wine tasting. The vineyard was of course beautiful, because Tuscany is all beautiful but the experience itself was awkward and felt unnecessary, it was more like an hour long sales pitch to get tourists to purchase sub-par wine. We tried 3 wines and I didn't like any of them, which was weird because every house wine I had in Italy was delicious. The French women on my table also did not like the red wines and put them in a separate cup to leave them. The sommelier was not what I expected, lots of jokes and performance but no tips on wine tasting or anything like that. I couldn't wait for it to be over. This hour would be much better spent in San Gimignano.

Fun in the Sun in Tuscany!

Constantino was phenomenal!! Hilarious in both English and Spanish! The tour was exactly what we were hoping for. Thank you Constantino, Vicenta and Raoul for a fantastic day! Ciao Florence was easy to work with and the bus was comfortable.

A beautiful day in Tuscany

This tour exceeded my high expectations by far. Our guide on the super comfortable air-conditioned bus was Serena - she was fantastic! So kind and helpful and informative. We had four stops in 10.5 hours - this felt better than some other tours with five stops in 12 hours. Fewer stops meant longer times to enjoy each town. Siena was beautiful. The winery was very fun - and cool indoors on a hot day.

Great day under the Tuscan sun!

This was a great trip. I have tons of photos and the company did an outstanding job. Especially our bus guide who spoke 4 languages fluently. I had a job interview and she was great about getting me going after the tour. The stops were the best of Tuscany! Skipping Pisa instead of other stops was a good choice. Because the temperatures were super hot, the air conditioned double-decker coach was perfect. It was very comfortable for the entire trip.

Poor experience
Carleton_C
, Jul 2022
I have been a regular Viator customer for years now but this tour was an absolute disappointment. I appreciate all languages, but with such a large tour, hearing the guide speak in 3 languages back to back was chaotic and confusing. Why didn’t they separate us into smaller groups by language? I was not informed this was a tri—lingual tour. The information that was shared was also of no interest or value. We did not have enough time in Sienna, rushed through lunch and just barely got an overview. But that’s not the worst part…we were so looking forward to the Tuscany wine tasting, but we had no views, no beautiful backdrop, just hustled into a wine tasting room that could have been anywhere USA. It was so disappointing that we didn’t get to experience a great setting considering we were in the middle of Tuscany. Our family is 4 was beyond disappointed we spent one full day of our time in Florence on this wasted day. I would like to be considered for a full refund for our family of four!

Good day out but drop the wine tasting venue for more time at the other 3 destinations.

, Jul 2022
Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni all lovely places to visit. The Wine tasting you could do without. I would of preferring more time at the 3 destinations especially in Siena and Monteriggioni. I only got to spend 35 minutes at Monteriggioni it had said in the booking details we would have 1 hour there. I felt that I was too rushed in Siena and Monteriggioni to really take it all in and enjoy it.

Great Day Trip from Florence!

, Jul 2022
This was our 2nd time to do this day trip from Florence! It was a gret experience the 1st time, and still a great experience the 2nd time around! Thanks to our guide Marco, who did a great job and was very friendly and patient! Kudos to him and our driver Raoul! This day trip to 4 important destinations in Toskana is worth it! Especially the wine tasting in the Chianti region and of course, Siena! Highly recommended!

Do the hill towns but the winery tour is just okay
lisa_l
, Jul 2022
Pickup was quite easy and the hill towns were majestic. The wine tour was okay but I wish it had been a more intimate family run winery. Further, there wasn’t much information about harvesting the grapes. I would do this tour again just for the towns. Skip the group lunch as it leaves much to be desired and head off to a restaurant of your choosing in Sienna. Our tour guides Alfonso and Maddie were great!

Very well organised and great transport service with well informed guides It is a long day and Sienna San Gimignano are the star attraction and the wine tasting Monte do not add much to the trip at all but certainly add 4 hours to the day so could well do without that But great way to see Tuscan countryside with minimum fuss

Excellent tour, well worth the time and money.

Monteriggioni and Siena were beautiful, but San Gimignano takes the crown with gorgeous panoramic views for free. The wine tasting was a nice cultural experience but would be better in a smaller group. Our guides Sorena and Roberto, and driver Mario were excellent. Would recommend this tour.

The stop points are really short and you don't get to enjoy most of it. I'd recommend just a wine tasting tour and a separate one for Siena.

This tour hit 4 different bases in Tuscan so was a great introductory visit to the area. Air conditioned bus during a heat wave was so needed! The guide was informative and entertaining.

Great Tuscany Day Tour
Tracy_B
, Jun 2022
Great full day tour of 4 sites in Tuscany. We enjoyed all the stops but especially the winery in Chianti (generous tastings of wine, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, plus local foods) and the stop at San Gimignano (a place we never would have gone to had not been for this tour).
