The tour was great! Lorenzo our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, making everyone feel welcomed. Our air-conditioned small bus was comfortable. Everywhere we visited was unique with free time to wonder around. Highly recommend to spend a little more to get a more personal and professional tour!

Lorenzo and Giovanni were a great team. Giovanni was a bit of a speed demon but we got everywhere safe and sound. Lorenzo was so proud of his country and region and it was fun to learn from him!

What a wonderful tour!! Alex was our driver and guide. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe him. Suffice to say he is a thoughtful, kind, intelligent and professional guide who goes above and beyond to ensure guests have an amazing experience. The tour began early in the morning (8 am) which ensured that we arrived at our first destination before the other tours. We had Siena all to ourselves. After an orientation tour, we had nearly two hours of free time to explore. Lunch followed at a boutique winery. The owner and host showed us around and explained the wine making process. We enjoyed four of his best wines with our meals. The lunch consisted of an antipasto starter, ragu and pasta, followed by dessert wine and biscotti. It was all delicious and there was no pressure to buy. At the final destination, San Gimignano, Alex gave us suggestions on the best places for gelato and photos, before we had free time to wander around. Thank you Alex for all the ways you made our day memorable.

Sienna and San Gimignano day trip
David_F
, Jul 2022
Eva (our guide) and Antonio (our driver) were excellent. By far our favorite destination tour while in Italy. Having been to Sienna years ago, it was exciting to return. The wine tasting lunch was good, with appropriate portions. San Gimignano unfortunately has become a tourist trap over the years. We got off the main road as soon as possible, and had a much better time. Perhaps combining Sienna and Voltera would be a better trip?? Regardless, Eva was a fantastic guide for a long day trip. Antonio kept us safe in crazy traffic. Would recommend.

Dissatisfied

Completely disappointed! We arrived at the pick up location at 7:45a, our taxi couldn't locate the big red building, which happens to be a regular tower not tall enough to be considered a building! We approach ed one of prestige drivers and we're sent to get on line for registration. It was the wrong line....while on line our bus left and when contacted them, they told us that we were late and they can offer a 20% discount for a tour that I have already paid over $300 for. Nevertheless, we didn't take it because we were already booked for rhe next days we were going to be in Italy. We have traveled and booked with Viator and this was our first dissatisfaction.

Great Day Trip From Florence

We had a fabulous time on this tour. Our family group of 8 (ages 7-62) all enjoyed every stop on the tour. Our guide, Lorenzo, was both entertaining and informative, and the bus was comfortable and clean. Both Siena and San Gimignano are interesting towns with rich history and great sights to see, and the winery was a nice break between stops.

Lorenzo was a perfect guide! He provided a wealth of knowledge and a appropriate balance of guided and free time. He checked in on our family frequently and was there to and was there to answer any questions. Visiting the towns of Siena and San Gimignano were two of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed our lunch and wine tasting at the vineyard.

Great day trip with amazing sights and a fantastic guide

Lorenzo was a fantastic guide, he shared great stories and made the excitment of the Paleo horserace which Siena was preparing for, come alive. He kept the group organized, was patient and thoughtful. The small group experience was well worth the extra $. Siena was beautiful and arriving on the day of the horse lottery for the July 2 race made it extra exciting. San Gimignano was so beautiful; walking the streets of this still intact medieval Italy village was such a treat. I've lived in and visited other places with significant ancient structures but this was really a unique experience Lorenzo did a great job of telling us about it's history and why it is important and unique today. He also made the historic rivalry between Florence (Firenze) and Sienna come alive. I would recommend this trip and Lorenzo to others.

Wonderful Day Trip to Siena and San Gimignano
Elizabeth_H
, Jul 2022
Our tour guide, Lorenzo, did a fabulous job sharing the remarkable history of these cities along with shopping/food recommendations. We were in Siena several days before the Palio race and found the history and neighborhood rivalries fascinating. Siena's cathedral was beautiful inside and out and should not be missed if you are in the city. San Gimignano was like a step back in time; simply walking around the old buildings and towers was delightful. Truly, the best Gelato can be found in San Gimignano!! A big thanks to Lorenzo for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with us.

Fabulous small group tour of Siena and San Gimignano

Lorenzo was a fantastic tour guide; really knowledgeable and engaging. This was a fabulous day in Tuscany, seeing the incredible town of Siena (just as beautiful and historic as Florence but slightly less crowded) and the jaw dropping San Gimignano. We had a relaxed lunch in a Chianti Classico winery; a great way to soak up the glorious countryside outside of Florence. There was free time in both major stops; exploring the side streets and tasting the odd gelato or two was priceless. Highly recommended.

Great value and by far one of the better tours we took while staying in Florence. The day trip was well balanced with information and free time to explore in each city. The wine tasting was a nice way to break up the day and the food was delicious! We also really appreciated the small group size. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an easy day trip.

Lorenzo was the best guide. Made our day. His knowledge of Sienna, San Gimignano and Tuscany was amazing. He was informative & funny. The tour of Sienna was really enjoyable. We had enough free time to grab a coffee and do a little shopping & sightseeing in each town. Lunch at the winery was also nice. Being a small group we also got to meet and chat with others travellers from all over the world. We highly this recommended tour.!
