Mai-Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show, 3599 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308, USA
Escape to one of the most unique dining and entertainment experiences in South Florida, Mai-Kai restaurant. Mai-Kai opened its doors in 1956 on the outskirts of Fort Lauderdale and has watched as the city has grown around it over the years. It authentically recreates a Polynesian Village, complete with tiki torches, a thatch roof and a wooden plank bridge entrance, and turns it into a restaurant.

Mai-Kai’s award-winning cuisine includes Cantonese and American dishes, from fresh seafood and steaks to house specialities like Peking duck, rack of lamb and lobster Bora Bora. An appetizer, main course and dessert are included with each meal. (See Itinerary for a sample menu.) And don’t forget to try one of their world-famous tropical drinks with your meal or at the tiki bar.

The entertainment is first-rate. The essence of Polynesia comes alive in the song and dance of the celebrated Islanders Revue. Musicians, drums and brightly colored costumes light up the stage every day and there’s a new interpretation of village life in the South Pacific every year.

Mai-Kai restaurant is food and fun for the entire family.

Single Nite Out

Waitress was wonderful. Show Was nothing outstanding. Music was often off key and too much dialog. Paid 70.00 and paid 30.00 more for tip and one mixed drink and a slice of kiwi pie. Food was average but a 10.00 meal and 30 minute show is overpriced like everything else in Ft Lauderdale. I travel extensively and this will not be one I repeat

We loved this show and dinner. Restaurant is really beautiful. They even have a small area for you to walk through gardens. Waiter staff was very pleasant and efficient. They made sure that we were not sitting close to anyone during this covid pandemic. Food was excellent and they gave you large portions. I personally loved the beef the best we got both beef and chicken and split chicken was good but beef was outstanding. Would definitely go her again.

A Ft. Lauderdale must see!

Mai-Kai has been opened since 1956, it has stood the test of time and really is a Ft. Lauderdale must see show. The restaurant did a great job at abiding by the CDC guidelines. The MC and dancers were great, the stage is set up in a way that everyone has a good view of the show. I was not aware that when I purchased my tickets through Viator that I would have to order from a limited menu, but even with the limited menu the food was fresh and delicious. I was able to "upgrade" some drinks and dessert. Make sure to visit their outdoor garden that includes a waterfall, offering great photo opportunities.

First my “reservations” were for 6 but then it told me 530 To then arrive at 530 to find out the dinning area didn’t open till 6. THEN to find out the actual show doesn’t start till 8 (which is not listed anywhere) The pricing for the voucher that I paid and the “credit” at the dinner was about a 12$ difference... it was a bit more expensive then I expected but the show was great as well as the walk through garden! The Food was very basic, it was delicious but had higher hopes due to the cost.

The food was great. But the show was canceled due to light failure which became extremely hot. We were expecting the show.
