Stroll through the exhibits in the 67-acre (27 hectares) refuge that is home to more than 1,400 animals. Currumbin features Australian natives such as the koala, echidna, wombat, Tasmanian devil, kangaroo, emu and dingo, and the animals live in bushland and rainforest settings that resemble their natural habitat. Interactive displays and keeper presentations provide a closer look at the critters, including lorikeet feeds that take place twice per day, free flight bird shows, and reptile shows. You can also see an Aboriginal dance performance.

Fab day out

- large park. I was there all day - hold a koala... $29. Recommend going early for this as got busy later and stopped at 2pm - make sure you go to all the shows... crocodile feeding, birds of prey, aboriginal show, pelican feeding, reptile show.... they were all really great.. especially the birds of prey - need to buy food to feed the kangaroos which was disappointing - go to the hospital and see live operations etc in action. - koalas were so cute - very easy to get to - beach 200m away... get a stamp to pop in and out of the park
