Cappadocia Balloon Flight Over the Fairy Chimneys

It was an amazing experience, everything was perfect, actually they exceeded my expectations. I would recommend a thousand times, we ended up getting in the air for about 1 hour and half, very different from the 45 minutes / 1 hour previously informed. I am not sure if we were lucky or what, but this extra time was very well received.

Don't be fooled by the title, this provider (Tourmania) is not actually a hot air balloon operator, nor does this booking actually confirm you a spot on a flight. Tourmania is simply another travel agent. On the day before our flight, we had heard nothing from Tourmania to confirm when and where we were getting picked up. We called them only to find out that they did not have a seat available for us on the day we reserved. Despite the title and description of this booking stating otherwise, Tourmania tried to assure us that this $350 booking was only meant to reserve "an opportunity" to be on a flight, not a guarantee. Tourmania tried to appease us by assuring that they would have a flight for us the next day. Upon calling back the next day, Tourmania again could not guarentee us a spot. We learned that Tourmania simply attempts to contact all the local tour agencies in Cappadocia to find a balloon flight--they don't have contacts with the actual balloon operators themselves. Having had enough of this experience, we asked for a refund. Tourmania said they would do it, but we would have to go through Viator. We contacted Viator customer service who attempted to discuss this with Tourmania. When the agent contacted them, two spots on a flight for the next day suddenly appeared and the local travel agency contacted us. Viator told us that we may or may not get our money back since Tourmania was at this point technically trying to deliver the service, so we decided to see if the flight would actually occur. We eventually found the actual balloon company ourselves (Rainbow balloon), and confirmed they had a spot for us the next day. Overall, a balloon flight in Cappadocia is a wonderful experience. However, we strongly recommend not using Tourmania. We wasted hours of our trip on the phone with them and I'm not confident that we would have actually been booked on a flight if we hadn't pushed them so much. All told, we had to go through Viator, Tourmania, and the local Cappadocia travel agent to finally get ourselves spots on a balloon ride. Instead of dealing with these multiple third parties, attempt to book directly through a local balloon company, like Royal Balloon or Rainbow Balloon.

En la descripción pone: desayuno incluído cuando no es cierto, horas antes del vuelo te mandan un mensaje diciéndote que el desayuno no se incluye por motivos COVID, pero en la descripción no lo quitan. Eso sí el cava al final del vuelo para el COVID no es problemático... Indicamos que el paseo guiado fuese en español, pero solo sabía inglés y turco... ¿Para que preguntan entonces? Y no creáis que éramos los únicos españoles, de nuestro grupo de excursión éramos 12 personas, es decir, más de la mitad del globo éramos españoles. A todo esto podemos también agregar que según donde se contrate el servicio puede indicar que es un paseo de 2 o 3 horas... También mentira, el paseo es de 1 hora. En nuestro grupo hubo gente que iba muy ilusionada porque ellos habían contratado 3 horas y guia en ESPAÑOL... la decepción que se llevaron cuando vieron que todos íbamos en el mismo globo y lo contratado era todo mentira. La única verdad es que es un paseo en globo, no os dejéis engañar por la publicidad, buscar el precio más barato, TODOS SON IGUALES.
