An amazing place with a knowledgeable guide!

Our trip to Tikal was amazing! We had a small group of 6 with a private guide. Our guide, Eridian, was fantastic! Elias was Eridian's assistant and was learning about guiding tours in Tikal. Both of then were born and raised in the area near Tikal. Eridian taught us much more than just the history of Tikal. We loved learning about the flora and fauna, the history, and the legacy of Tikal. We felt that we were able to understand the people that created Tikal and their descendants better. Eridian has a passion and education for Tikal that goes far beyond the guide books. His understanding was demonstrated by his knowledge and respect for the area. We appreciated his kindness and his interest in each member of our group. The experience was life-changing! Thank you!

I took this tour from Guatemala...
Rabz

I took this tour from Guatemala City, so I had to fly from Guatemala airport to Flores airport. The taxi driver picked me up at 4:30 and i was at the airport at 4:45. So i had to wait till 6:30 for my flight with nothing to do in such small airport I could've slept more at the hotel. Anyway, we arrive to Flores airport and I meet the guide there. So the guide tells me that we still need to wait around for like an hour for another group to arrive. Keeping in mind that this is a 1 day tour, waiting for an additional hour for another group to come by bus was a bit annoying for me. Moreover, the guide was not energetic and interesting. So, I am giving this tour 3 stars only because of the bad organization and guide. But I must say that Tikal is such an amazing site and is definitely a must do. So if you are like me short on time, take this tour anyway because you will end up forgetting about all these issues once you see the greatness of this place
