Wonderful morning guided tour with the family at Hobart’s Botanical Gardens. We had the best guide - Debbie. Thank you for all the information you imparted and your passion for these great gardens. Look forward to returning to see the rebuild of the old Fernery area which was wrecked by floods (opening around November 2021) and exploring more of the Gardens.

Hi Anna, Thank you for joining Debbie on a tour. We're pleased to let you know that the Tasmanian section has re-opened and the fernery area is looking fabulous. We hope you can come back to see it soon.

An informative session. Kate was very patient in articulating her story for my elderly parents. She adjusted the session to suit our needs.

The tour was amazing. Debbie knew all about the history and shared a lot of fun facts and interesting stories about the trees and flowers. It was so nice we even passed the tour time. One of the best walking tours I’ve had! :)

A must see in Hobart

One of the best botannical gardens in the world. We had a private tour and were told and shown the history of the gardens. These are well worth the effort of going to see.

Beautiful, relaxing, amazing

Our guide was very informative and I loved the story about heating the walls for the fruit trees. Overall the history of the gardens was very interesting and the gardens themselves were exquisite. I'd highly recommend going to these gardens whether you're a gardener or not. The restaurant is expensive but there is a much cheaper cafe outside, food is great and it is far nicer to sit in the gardens to eat anyway.
