Don’t Do It! Terrible! You Won’t See A Thing!

Got hounded literally from the start by 5 male staff demanding £20 then £10 then £9 tourist tax, hardly any English speaking staff, the sub sails to an area where water very cloudy and literally hardly any fish obviously due to the fish knowing to move to a cleaner less busy area of the sea. Worse thing ever we use the toilet then out the back of sub we see human poo and toilet roll floating in the sea where guests are snorkelling! No wonder the sea is so cloudy it was full of subs filling the water, we were given horrible Coke in plastic cups, my girls were hounded to have photos taken over and over, other guests allowed to smoke right next to us. We have seen more fish at our local zoo in Essex than out at sea in Egypt. The natural habitat is being destroyed by these subs and tourism. We came 15yrs ago and did this and the water was clear and soooooo many more fish which proves the environment is getting damaged. The sub toilet contents gets blown straight out the back of the sub into the sea where passengers were climbing into the water from the back of the boat and people were taking photos of the human poo floating by it was so disgusting it was funny but not for those swimming. The men who run the tours asked me first for £20 tourism tax and I said no I’m not paying that as I knew it was £3 each so they were trying to make money from us. I cannot and will not recommend this trip to anyone else it was disgraceful. The boat was brilliant though but not the staff or the area they sail too. Very boring and waste of our time I’m afraid.

The boat was nice. We had to make our own way there, because apparently they could not find the central location we were at. Tour was ok. Guide was Russian, her English was barely understandable. No info in Arabic for the many Egyptians. The cola came in a large bottle... We got a small plastic cup each. Some info about the state of the corals and global warming effects would have been appreciated. Good value for money.
