Sensational tour with Happy Tours and the highlight of our week long stay in Scotland. A truly authentic experience, we witnessed some of the most astonishing natural scenery in and around Skye, walked in the footsteps of legends at Eilean Donan, gazed at the Highland "coo" and ate the best fish & chips of our life in Portree. There were plenty of pluses & minuses, Drew was entertaining & a lovely character, he tried to make the best of what must have been for him a tiring drive. The Windows constantly steamed up in what was meant to be Airconditioning & 8 people in a small elbow to elbow minibus was a bit gruelling & not enjoyable where you are changing seats with people having been in heavy rain. Drew was quite wonderful even shared a tot although there was no included bottled water or eating or drinking on the bus. A mixed bag, would we go again? Yes but only if there were less people or a bigger bus. We’ve been in a bigger minibus touring in tight roads in the Highlands, if Drew had one it would be top score.

We are so sorry you did not fully enjoy your tour to Skye with Drew. Drew is a great guide and was really trying to ensure everyone had the best possible tour in the poor weather condition. The airconditioning was working however it was warm as well as wet causing the windows to steam. We apologise you didn't get your bottled water, this must have been an oversight as there are plenty of supplies in the rear of each vehicle. We hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.

We really enjoyed the trip. Excellent logistics and the tour guide, Robbie, is very knowledgeable and friendly. There multiple stops on the way. The views from Lochalsh are breathtaking and would have liked to spend a little more time there in return for cutting out some of other stops. Isle of Skye has so much to offer and a few hours is more of a taster for future trips.

Our guide Drew was very helpful and made us all feel welcome. For improvement, I do think that certain things can be cut out to improve the quality of the tour. For example, no need to stop over to view Urquhart castle….. instead head straight for Eileen Donan Castle to have 1.5 hours time to explore and really take in the breath taking scenery (as well as have a toilet break). Isle of Skye - you need at least 1.5 hours to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the lunch break. I know the aim is to pack in as much as possible, but more does not mean the experience is better. I would suggest that there are two main points of interest for the trip (Eilean Donan castle and Portree) and also include a fifteen minute stop over by one of the mountains to take in the amazing scenery (outside the car) and have a mini walk and photo opportunity. That would be better than lots of small stops. Adding half an hour to the tour to enable visitors the time to enjoy the places they visit would be worth thinking about.
