This full-day tour begins with a Jerusalem hotel pickup in an air-conditioned coach. Then drive to the city of Nazareth, the capital and largest city in the Northern District of Israel, also known as 'the Arab capital of Israel.' In the New Testament, Nazareth is described as the home of Mary and the childhood home of Jesus. As a result, it’s a center of Christian pilgrimage, with many shrines commemorating biblical events here.

On this tour, visit the Church of the Annunciation, where the Angel Gabriel visited the Virgin Mary to tell her she would be the mother of Jesus and the Church of St. Joseph, built over the carpentry workshop of Mary’s husband, Joseph.

Further north, pass by the Church of the Multiplication next to the Sea of Galilee. This is where the miracle of the five loaves and two fish took place in the Gospel of John. Walk along the shores of the Sea of Galilee and visit the village of Capernaum, where Jesus spent time teaching in the local synagogue. It was also the hometown of the apostles Peter, James, Andrew, and John.

Finally, travel to the southern end of the Sea of Galilee, where the Jordan River meets the Dead Sea in Tiberias. This is where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Consider being baptized here as part of this tour.

The sightseeing concludes at this point. Then, board the coach for a return trip to the Jerusalem hotels, passing Mount Tabor, believed by many Christians to be the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus, on the return trip.

Terrible and disappointing

The tour never happened. They gave me a different time to the schedule and left me high and dry. The tour operator never apologised.

We are most regretful that this was the nature of your experience as you put it. Please send an email to info@beinharimtours.com with your booking details and case description and our customer care department will investigate what happened. This is certainly not our standard. Sincerely, Bein Harim team

DISAPPOINTED

Very disappointed with the tour. It started 1 1/2 hour late ,the guide didn’t have any itinerary to offer ,he cut almost half of the points that we should stop/see ( no given time to visit the city of Nazareth and so many other places ). Everything was rushed more line in and out. The guide wasn’t knowledgeable at all. He read from the Bible here and there. If we asked any auger didn’t know how to answer. On our ride he never mentioned what points of interest we were driving by unless the driver who was amazingly nice ,told him to tell us. He was very short with us,he chatted constantly with the driver it didn’t look like he care for our group. We would’ve learn so much more and our tour could’ve been more interesting if the guide knew what to tell us. He really doesn’t know much about the historic those places - too bad it was a waste of time and money.

Dear Ioan, We are most regrettable that this was the nature of your experience. Lateness and delays are unfortunately not what we plan, and this too will be checked out. Our being late is only because of traffic. Complex logistics (whoever has seen the traffic congestion will understand even if we have plans on how to go about, pickups and dropoffs, there are constraints that curb the procedure. hope you will back this up with an email so we can investigate with the guide himself. This is certainly not the standard of our guides, if this is as you describe what happened, it will be dealt with severely. Guides are provided with clear itinerary and schedule guidelines and the informative commentary is obviously what they must add, to be enlightening and interesting. Glad that your driver was spot on. He deserves this honorable mention. But not ok that the guide engaged with him and not with his travelers. Kindly forward this to our office with your specific tour date and name. This is the only way we can rectify what needs to be corrected. Thanks in advance for your cooperation on this. Sincerely, Bein Harim team

Beware if traveling from Jerusalem
Yakiry_R
, Mar 2022
Our tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. She deserves 5 stars. We didn’t eat lunch until 3pm, after being on a bus and touring since 6am by that time I was famished. Pick up/drop off to/from Jerusalem could use improvement. I was told to be at a pick up spot at 5:45a, driver didn’t show up until after 6am then we head to pick up people in Tel Aviv. Heading back from the tour I believe travelers heading back to Jerusalem should be dropped off first. We sat on the bus for 4/5 Tel Aviv hotel stops before we are able to get off the bus to head to Jerusalem in a smaller vehicle. The tour is not inexpensive..they could have provided water/snacks for such a long tour and when lunch will be at 3pm.

Thanks for sharing this review and feedback of your tour experience. Happy to read your guide a was professional and provided excellent commnetary. We will certianly take try to improve.Indeed there is considerable distance covered when travelling north and for major logistics constraints we are not always able to travel directly north. At the end of the day, dropping off other travellers is no doubt a time consuming procedeure and peak hour congestion adds to this in a big way. Changing of vehicels in order to directly send specific travellers to their own destination is a logisitc that demands much prior planning.and thus not always doable. For all tours we certainly list and recommend travellers come with their own water and snacks. This is not a service we can or do provide as this is a daily tour.

Bein Harim Tours is not the best option
JuanJos_R

The tour was amazing, but the organization was not what I expected. 5.50 am was the time they told us we should stay at the lobby, but better 15' in advance. And we did so. At 5.30 am we were there. But they arrived at around 6.15, plus collecting more passengers from other hotels, 45' more, plus changing twice from coach to minibus,... A mess. We lost lots of time waiting. I hyave to say that they apologized, but it's a quite pricy tour to make this kind of mistakes. I wouldn't recommend Bein Harim Tours. Actually it was the second time I made this tour, so I could compare with the previous. The guide didn't go down and tell us about St Joseph's house neither.

Lots of sites, horrible lunch.

It was great ish. Great guide, hit a lot of sites ... Driving was rough. Got motion sick. It's a constant tapping of the brakes. HUGE NEGATIVE... They take you to the most horrible restaurant for lunch. It's a crowded buffet style with salad bar and 5 main plate options. It's where all the tours go. You are packed in with too many people at your assigned table. It's like being in large cafeteria. These people want you in and out, don't care about service. We went to such wonderful little towns. I would have loved to have an hour just to stop and get a falafel or something. But the schedule is so tight you cannot stop at any of the shops (which I get ...) Just really wish the food situation would have been better. We got just the salad bar, it was gross. But we paid, left group and sat out by the sea of Galilee .. now that was amazing. You can find the positive in anything if you look hard enough :)

Day trip

The day was a lot of driving. A fair experience. The sites are mostly churches over historical sites. The guide used the bible to go thru information about the sites. The lunch was at an isolated place and so the meal was 22$ per person. No street food or other options were available.

interesting and good, must go to this tour
MAGEMMAFE_G
, Nov 2019
Our tour was on 20 Nov 2018, The tourist guides are really good, they are very knowledgeable and very entertaining, the tour itself is good we went to Bethlehem and its amazing, from there we went to olive carving factory which is really unnecessary, We went to Dead see after, we have different driver, we have a great time in there but going back to Jerusalem makes us tense as we waited in the boarder almost an hour for another car to pick us up, the driver cannot drive us back to Jerusalem because he is not allowed to cross the boarder, there were no proper explanation because the driver doesn't speak English well, 4 of us waited for almost an hour and we are very tense and worried.

I cannot recommend this tour and tour agency (Bein Harim) enough! Our guide (Daniel) was very knowledgeable and kept the tour moving at a great pace to see these amazing places (Nazareth, Capernaum, Sea of Galilee, and Jordan River Baptismal Site). The tour was very well-organized, and the agency was great to work with and very professional. Daniel provided enough information to understand the historical and religious significance of each location without bombarding us with too much information. It was great to see so many incredible locations in just one day! We even stopped at an extra location (Emmaus Church) on our way to Nazareth. Overall, it was an amazing tour with an exceptional guide planned by a great tour agency. Highly recommend!

We had a great tour with Sivan. Tour was well organized she was ready for all questions and above all she is very knowledgeable and kind. The best part besides seeing Nazareth, sea of Galilee, eating St. Peter's fish was baptism in the river Jordan. Great tour
