Kamakura Private Custom Tour Led by Local Students

Kamakura is a very pretty area. We met our two guides, Shion and Hiroto who are local school students. Kamakura was packed with people, both foreigners and Japanese tourists. The place was so busy because it was the start of Golden week in Japan 1 week's holiday for all, but our guides managed to negotiate our way to all of our chosen destinations despite the crowds. Although their English wasn't exceptional, we could understand each other, and their knowledge of traditional and historical information relating to our tour was very good. The boys were happy to accompany us to lunch, and we left it to them to recommend a traditional Japanese lunch and guide us through the shopping district, where they were very patient, ensuring we had time to select the souvenirs we wanted. I would highly recommend this tour, as it gives you an experience with genuine locals who know the area well, and you can adapt the sightseeing options to your personal preference.

We had a good experience with the local students as our tour guides. It's always nice to have someone from the area to interact with. They gave us insights on the spots we visited that we would have never figured out by ourselves. It was nice talking to Naoki(teacher), Naoki(student), and Hayato!

Very interesting and enjoyable! In this tour, we met with three students and their teacher, who eagerly guided us around the city. We took the local bus and walked between stops. Not only did we see everything on our plan, but we learned more about these local students and their future aspirations.
