Your day starts with morning pickup from your Cochin hotel, the cruise port, or airport, then set off in an air-conditioned vehicle to explore the city.
Your first destination is Mattancherry Palace, aka the Dutch Palace, which features superb murals that depict scenes from Hindu legends, along with a collection of old Dutch maps of Kochi, royal palanquins, and coronation robes.
Next up, visit the Paradesi Synagogue (aka Mattancherry Synagogue), which dates to 1568 and contains artifacts from the old Jewish community in Kerala. Continue to St. Francis Church, built in 1503 and one of the oldest European churches in India, and the first burial site of the 15th-century Portugese explorer Vasco da Gama.
Take in one of the most famous sites in Cochin, the Chinese fishing nets, built about 500 years ago when Chinese traders were traveling to southern India. The large cantilevered fishing nets that are otherwise only found in China.

Pick-up from Sea Port and leave to explore Kochi (Cochin) with your private guide. Visit Mattancherry Palace, commonly known as the Dutch Palace, is an archaeological wonder. The palace has a fascinating collection of beautiful murals painted that depict scenes from the epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata, and some of the Puranic Hindu legends. The palace also houses Dutch maps of old Kochi, royal palanquins, coronation robes of former rulers of Kochi.
Note: Mattancherry Palace is closed on every Friday.

Also referred to as the Cochin Jewish Synagogue or the Mattancherry Synagogue. It is the oldest synagogue in all the 53 member-countries of the Commonwealth of Nations, constructed in 1568. It houses numerous antiques related to the old history of Kerala with Jews. Enter the synagogue and the large main hall arrests your attention with display of rare antique objects that add to the grandeur of the place.
Note: Paradesi Synagogue is closed on every Friday, Saturday and on all Jewish Holidays.

The huge cantilevered Chinese fishing nets that droop towards the waters like over-sized hammocks have become a hallmark that represents Fort Kochi on the tourist map. The fishing nets are thought to have been built 500-600 years ago as Chinese traders were initially exploring the southern coastline of India. The sight of the Chinese nets is undoubtedly one of the most photographed sights in Kochi.
