Meet your guide at your Kusadasi hotel and drive east towards Pamukkale located in the province of Denizli. Arrive at this UNESCO World Heritage Site and see why this natural site’s name means cotton castle. Learn about the geology here, which consists of white travertine rocks that have created a natural wonder of plateaus. Gaze over Pamukkale’s mineral deposits and hear how the hot bath’s water travels 656 feet (200 meter) down the cliffside to create the appearance of snowy terraces.

Next, stroll alongside your expert guide and observe the geology up close as you learn how these natural baths were formed. Stop to snap photos of this amazing site, and then continue to the ancient city of Hierapolis to observe its diminishing ruins and dip into hot springs.

Spend free time soaking and relaxing into the pools and don’t forget to pack your swimsuit (entrance fee at your own expense). As you enjoy a nice bath stare up at the Greco-Roman columns which surround the pools. Stop for lunch after bathing at a café and then rendezvous with your guide for a walking tour through Hierapolis. After a pickup from your Kusadasi hotel, head inland to Denizli Province to visit Pamukkale –Turkey’s most incredible natural wonder. Meaning ‘cotton castle,’ this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site consists of dazzling white travertine rock terraces that seem to flow down 656-foot (200-meter) cliffs. From a distance, the travertine terraces almost look like snowy cliffs or frozen waterfalls, but in fact they are mineral deposits from Pamukkale’s hot springs. Walk around these fascinating rocks and see the naturally formed bathing pools while learning about their geology from your guide. Views from Pamukkale are unforgettable – see the white travertine terraces contrasting with brown mountains in the distance, and then walk up to Hierapolis, the ancient Greco-Roman city with crumbling ruins and geothermic bathing pools. Enjoy time at leisure here, and be sure to bring your bathing suit as the pools are definitely worth a dip (entrance fee is at your own expense)! Relax in the warm natural springs that are separated by ancient columns, and then visit a café for lunch before meeting your guide for a leisurely walking tour around the ancient city. Very interesting place with exceptional ruins as well

It was a long ride 3 hours there and 3 hours back but the Mercedes mini bus was nice and the guide phenomenal and friendly. There is a lot of walking so if you cant do that I recommend renting a cart. The whit hills and pools are a sight to behold. There were lots of people but quite manageable. We stopped and the linen factory and bought some awesome table cloths and towels at a reasonable price. The amphitheater in the the ruins was phenomenal. Would definitely do it once but don't think i would go back because of the six hours traveling.

Our guide was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the area. He gave great suggestions for routes and was very open to all kinds of questions about the site. Since I visited in August the pools were really crowded so I didnt swim, but the site itself is very beautiful and worth the visit. My two complaints are the tourism stop we made at the Onyx workshop, which was essentially a ploy to get us to buy stuff. It wasnt on the itinerary and I felt that it was a little heavy handed to add that in without telling us. We also stopped at a crowded buffet restaurant for lunch that wasnt very good.

Tahsin was an incredibly passionate guide and was really nice to talk with. He was very informative and knowledgeable about Turkey and the environments. I wish we'd have him for Ephesus as well. His and the drivers services deserve an absolute 10! The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating are rather because of the firms organizational details: We were picked up had to drop breakfast right away at 7.30, whilst the day before, the company comfirmed through phone we'd be picked up at 8-8.30 The journey from Kusadasi to Pammukkale was very long. Our hotel being the furthest away in the group, we spent at least a total of 8.5-9 hours sitting in the bus, just to enjoy about 2.5 hours of Pammukkale. For such a long journey, I personally wouldn't recommend travelling in a small group or bus. Us being tall Europeans and a little overweight, let's be honest, spending that long in rather cramped seats isn't quiet comfortable.

We had a well presented and air conditioned mini bus. Our driver was charming and spoke excellent English. Our guide at Pamukkale was lovely and she was very knowledgeable and also spoke excellent English. It was a really hot day so we spent quite a while bathing in the warm Cleopatra pool. Sadly, I think the magical powers associated with the water have waned over the years as I didn't look any younger after my swim haha. Pamukkale is a beautiful place and I would recommend this trip as we had a great time. We stopped off at an Onyx factory on the way back and it was interesting to see how the artists manipulated and shaped the onyx. There was a gift shop full of beautiful things and even though we did not feel pressurised into buying anything, of course we had to get a little momento of the trip. Overall, an excellent experience.

Pamukkale and Heirapolis - Incredible places to see, though I wouldn't bother with this tour at all. We basically paid GBP97 for a driver. On the 3 hour drive to Pamukkale our guide spoke to us once - To let us know we would be stopping for 20minutes. Upon arrival in Pamukkale our tour began. He walked us through the entrance to the terraces, vaguely explaining things that we could have read our selves on the signs all along the walk - gave us a few hours free time. Afterwards was lunch - we were told to not have quote high expectations unquote, but the food was actually inedible. Cold and unidentifiable - no one from our tour finished a dish. 3 hour ride back to Kusadasi, again only being spoke to once again upon stopping for 20 minutes. The pools at Heirapolis are absolutely amazing, well worth a visit - though this is not included in the tour but there is plenty of free time to have a swim. The terraces themselves look nothing like you see online, though after travelling so much this was expected - Still amazing to see. If we had of just paid for a driver for the day we would have zero complains, but booking a tour you expect some form of a guide. He wasn't interested at all.

The tour is a good way to go from Kusadasi to Pamukkale, but doesn't add anything other than that. You should face it as an alternative to a shuttle or taxi. The lunch included was below average, for sure. We had wonderful and cheap meals in Turkey and that was not one of them. The tour guide was nice and helpful, but was lacking a bit in his English skills and didn't add much information. Also, we wish we had more time there. Considering the long trip, I'd recommend the time there to be an hour longer at least, getting one hour later to the hotel.

Its a fabulous place to visit however we went from Kusadasi which took 3 hours to get there and we only had 1hr 30min there which wasn't enough time to see and do everything, so its great to see but check out how long it takes to get there so you can have as much time there to take everything in.
