️Nusa Penida by Private Boat - Snorkeling 4 spots, Swim with Mantas + Land Tour

This was the most fun filled day of our entire trip. Nemo and Jena were awesome guides. They were very knowledgeable. I loved there sense of humor. So many good laughs. I would definitely recommend this excursion.

This tour was well planned to capture the highlights of Penida island whilst also being responsive to the weather conditions. We were unable to snorkel at Manta bay due to choppy conditions. Our guide did get in the water to see if any mantas were around before deciding to move us on to a second site that had the most beautiful coral and coloured fish. At the next snorkeling site we drifted with the strong current while admiring more coral and fish. We then embarked on the land tour (via private cars) which began with a delicious lunch in a restaurant perched high on the island with sweeping views. We were also able to swim in the infinity pool at the restaurant. After lunch we moved on to 3 snenic parts of the island. Our tour finished with one more snorkel at a huge coral reef where we were lucky enough to see 2 turtles. The team running the tour were all very professional and took great care of everyone on the tour. Due to its beauty this is a very popular tour, some of the land sites were crowded with people trying to get photos.

The trip was amazing, one of the best I have been on. Lufi and wayon made sure we were happy and safe at all times. The views and clear blue waters we seen were surreal it was the best experience I have had in Bali. One of the people in my tour group lost a watch in the sea and lufi with his diving skills FOUND IT! the food in a hilltop restaurant with an insane view and even a pool to swim in and relax before our tour of the islands cliffs. 10/10 experience would definitely recommend if in Bali !!!!!

Great trip although we couldn't see the Manta Rays everything else was excellent and a few surprises. Big thanks to Leo and Lupi best hosts ever .

We took a private snorkeling and Nusa Penida tour yesterday. Vino, Toto and the captain were fantastic hosts. The snorkeling was fantastic and we loved the Nusa Penida land tour and incredible lunch. Our kids had a great time in the restaurant’s infinity pool!! Everyone was so flexible and accommodating—great fun for all ages. And the drivers the company assigned to us for the day we’re among the best we’ve worked with in Bali. On top of that, Vino sent us the most incredible videos of our underwater adventures of the day—memorialized for us to enjoy and remember forever. Bravo! And thank you, Vino, for an unforgettable day!

This was the best day tour I’ve done in Bali. Gede and his team were excellent guides, welcoming and really funny. Swimming with the manta rays has been a highlight, what an experience!. I would recommend this tour to family/ friends and would do it again when I’m in Bali next.

One of the things I wanted to do most while in Bali was snorkel with the giant manta rays. I booked this trip as it had the best and most reviews and I can see why. I stayed in Ubud which is about 30-45 minutes away from the departure point of Sanur. I was able to arrange pick up and drop off from Ubud through the tour group which eased a lot of stress for me. As you get there, you can wait at Nelayan Sanur Bay, depending on how early you arrive. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast right on the beach, and they accept card payments. Once everyone in the group arrived, we had to take a smaller boat to the speed boat moared a little off the beach as there was no space to back the boat up to. The boat I was on was the Sanjaya and the guides/divers were Budi (certified free diver) and Wayan Rai (master diver). The ride from Sanur towards Nusa Penida was great. I had never been on a speed boat before and I loved it. As we neared the island, Budi gave an overview of the days plan. He did explain that the swell in Manta Bay was strong so there could be a possibility that we wouldnt be able to go. Once we got closer, you could definitely see the swell was too strong. I really appreciate that Budi and the captain of the Sanjaya decided that the safety of the passengers was greater and thus we moved to a different snorkeling spot on the north side of Nusa Penida. Now, I am comfortable in a pool but am by no means a swimmer. I loved that they provided the regular live vests instead of the blow up ones. Since I was the weakest swimmer out of all the people on the boat, I definitely stuck to Wayan Rai like gum. He was very calm and made sure I was okay as I would start to panic. The location we went to had the clearest water I've ever seen and so many fish! It was magical! I love that Budi also took video and pictures with a gopro so there was no need for me to worry about capturing the moment either. After going to 2 different snorkeling spots, we started the island tour. There were 13 of us total and we were all split across 3 cars. First on the list was lunch. We headed to Green Kubu which had an infinity pool and the Gate of Penida which has a fantastic view of the ocean. After lunch we headed to Broken Beach and Angel Billabong. These two viewpoints had stunning views. There is a bit of a walk from the parking to the views so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. The last viewpoint we went to was Kelingking Beach. The pictures really do not do it justice. After finishing the island tour, we got back on the boat for the final snorkeling location. I was all pooped out from the whole day, so I opted to stay on the boat, but I'm told it was the best location we had went to for snorkeling. All in all, I think the trip was a great addition to my Bali trip and I'm so thankful to Budi, Wayan Rai and the staff of the Sanjaya for making sure everything went great.

Awesome day! The snorkeling was exceptional, lunch was great at a scenic spot and the land tour ticked all the boxes. David and Nimo were great, friendly, they did an amazing job making sure everyone was comfortable and taking incredible photos.

Diving with the manta was amazing also kellingking is a very spiritual spot and broken beach is breathtaking..thumbs up all the way.
