Mr. Mike was the best driver/guide ever! With the heat being what it was, it was nice to have mini-stops to Lake Meade and the Dam. Both locations were ABSOLUTELY breathtaking.

An Architectual Wonder

The dam itself is an architectual marvel, but as for this tour, I'd skip it and drive if you have a rental car. It's only about 45 minutes from Vegas and the Visitor Center is closed to tours and you can drive yourself around (which was what this "tour" consisted of), walk across the bridge over the dam, plus spend as much time as you like with no time limits. As far as Boulder City is concerned, there's a small museum that you can see in 30 minutes or less, which is all the time we were given, but that was it. Not worth the stop if you drive unless you're a history buff.

Thank you for your review. Our Hoover Dam Highlights Tour description explains that we do have excellent views of the Hoover Dam, and we do drive across it as well, along with Boulder City. When the Bureau of Reclamation once again allows tours inside the dam, we will also offer our Hoover Dam Exploration Tour with visits inside the dam and walking around it. We are glad you still enjoyed the tour for the most part, as you said.

Our tour guide Patrick was very informative and funny! Be prepared to walk quite a bit. I personally enjoyed the history of the hoover dam informational video that was played in the bus .

I should have read the description of the tour carefully. We did see the Hoover Dam but the bus did not actually stop at the dam. We saw it from afar from various stops. The dam is spectacular but I was so disappointed that we didn’t actually get to walk across the dam. So close but so far. We also thought the stop in Boulder City was pretty lame. The driver, however, was wonderful.

Thank you for taking time to write your review and for traveling with us. Because of COVID restrictions, the inside of the Hoover Dam is not offering tours. This is dependent upon the Bureau of Reclamation. This tour takes our guests over, around and above the dam, as well as to the Hoover Dam Museum in Boulder City. Most of our guests have very much enjoyed this tour and seeing the grand project of building the dam. I'm sorry it did not meet your needs as well as you thought. I'm glad you said our driver was wonderful. We hope to have you travel with us again to another destination.
