This activity includes roundtrip transfer from the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro only.

Take in the many attractions found in the historic seaside city of Lima during this half-day sightseeing excursion. During your trip through this Peruvian capital, known to some as the “City of Kings,” you have a chance to view a range of historic architecture, unique cultural sights, and admire its gorgeous coastal landscape.

Start your day with either a morning or afternoon departure, receiving a pickup from your Lima hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro, or downtown. The first stop of the day is Lima’s historic city center, an area once known as the capital of the country’s colonial viceroyalty. Head next to the “Love Park,” a beautiful green space along the ocean-influenced by Barcelona architect Gaudí and featuring a sculpture by Peruvian artist Victor Delfín.

Continue to San Isidro, a laid-back residential area of Lima. Drive past Huaca Pucllana for a glimpse of the ceremonial site, which pre-dates the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. Then head to Lima’s main square, where you’ll see the Municipal and Presidential Palaces, two sprawling structures whose size emphasizes their preeminence in the country’s political life.

Proceed next to the Plaza de Armas to view the Lima Cathedral and stop by the tomb of Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro. You also swing by the Santo Domingo Convent, home to a sprawling monastery complex.

Before finishing your Lima city visit, make additional stops at the Museum of Religious Art and the Church of Santo Domingo, the final resting place for the saints San Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima. At the end of your sightseeing adventure, receive a drop-off back at your Lima hotel.

One Amazing Tour
, Sep 2021
Suzanne was AMAZING! She was not only very pleasant, but her knowledge of Lima and Peru in general was outstanding! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting a rich historical experience of Lima.
Good guide. Short and pricey tour

The tour guide was so kind and knowledgeable. The tour was a little short for the price. It should have been half the price

very informative tour, due to the solid knowledge of the tour guide. It is a must for any one who wants to know about Lima history and tourist attraction in a nutshell
Great tour!

We were looking to spend a quick amount of time to see the top highlights of Lima. This trip did exactly that. We drove through multiple areas, saw many parks and monuments of the city and got out at the highlights. Miguel our guide was great and felt like he wanted to make sure we had a good time on our entire vacation, no just while we were with him. If you’re looking for a half a day Lima highlights tour, highly recommended.
Lima first visit

I really enjoyed the tour with Suzanne was a great guide. It was a bit intense as I wax the only guest. I think we saw enough of the city but a little bit more spread on the development rather than the old history would be appreciated. Recommended though. And very conscientious driver
Okay tour of Lima

We were a group of three. There were not anybody in the tour, so it felt like it was a personal tour just for us, so it was great. The hotel pick-up was just on-time as well. My recommendation to others: If you are staying in Lima for only an half day, and you won't have any time to explore it on your own, then go ahead, this tour would be perfect for you. However if you are going to be staying one full day or more in Lima, then I suggest skipping this tour. You would likely be staying in Miraflores or Barranca, so you can see the Love Park, Laromar shopping center, Boardwalk, and city ruins on your own anyway. I suggest just take an Uber ride to historic city center, and visit the two churches over there. There is nothing else in Lima anyway.
Short but sweet

The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The traffic plays an important part on the tour. We were lucky that is was not too heavy.
Great Tour of Lima
, Dec 2019
We had a lovely tour of Lima - starting at the coast (Gaudi-esque garden) then went into central Lima to visit the Church and a Monastery and had a general wander through the streets. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the country and suggested other things to do, based on our interests.
Thought I would see more other attractions, but of course Lima traffic is not fun

Was alright. Not sure if the first stop was so crucial.. but expected maybe more or didn’t know what to expect:
