Private Tour: Black Taxi Tour of London

I only had one day to do any sightseeing and was traveling with an older friend who couldn't be expected to schlepp their way through the subway system. Albeit expensive, the black taxi tour was just the ticket! We were picked up at our hotel by David. He was incredibly flexible to take us directly to our priority interests so my friend could re-live experiences from the early 60's. Within two hours we saw everything of interest with the convenience of a quick hop out, hop in. No battling the crowds. For example, David dropped us in front of Buckingham Palace and then rode around the block until we were ready to jump in the taxi again. What a convenience! He even made the perfect suggestion for our drop off location that would mesh with other activities we had planned later in the day. It's over $200 for the two hour ride but can include up to 5 people. The tour made me feel as if I didn't miss out on the short window of opportunity I had to do some sightseeing while in London! We tipped $20 Euros. Highly recommend the tour.

Driver (Stuart) was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of “secret London” things. Was very good with our kids and overall we had an amazing experience.

We were picked up right on time and whisked away on a wonderful tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and knew just where to take us... Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, London Bridge, Old London, etc.

Our driver, Mark, was prompt, kind, fun and just fabulous. I’ve been to London numerous times - but my teen not so much. He ferreted out some fun Harry Potter sites (for me, not her!) and really interesting little neighborhoods I’ve never had the chance to visit. This black cab tour really tied London together for me - I feel like I finally really know the lay of the land. And it was attention grabbing for my young travel partner, too!

Our family of 5 had a two hour tour with a great guide, Andy. He picked us up at our hotel and took us around the city to see the main sights. We were able to exit the car at times to walk and take pictures. Would highly recommend!

Stuart took my wife and I through a tour of the sites that normally tourist does not go to. Behind the scene places that has great history to it. He took us to an American Bar that was hidden in a square that we would have never found or see. His personality is amazing.

David was our guide and he was great. When you only have a day or two and want to see the outside of key historic sights and get brief history, then this is perfect. London traffic makes it difficult to see too much in two hours, but for us it was just the right amount of time and information. Recommend.

Excellent tour. My husband and I had a 12 hour layover in London on the way back to the U.S. and took a 2 hour private tour. Our guide was exceptional!

Well.....we were all booked everything confirned, i called, they agreed on the up location, then called back once at the location driver said he can't come! So we were left stranded in the middle of nowhere, thanks to a good Samaritan, who had a friend that have us a ride to the airoirt. So we had to pay 400£ for the ride. Thanks I won't be back again no time soon! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!
