While I knew we would have breakfast and lunch, I didn’t think it would take a long time. Our tour guide was very nice and didn’t over talk like the other tour guide we had. I think we could have done another stop in Hana rather than waste time eating breakfast. As it is a VERY winding road, if you get car sick please see if you can get a front sit.

Excellent tour trip to Hana, HI. Went with Dave of Temptations Tours. Stopped about 8:30AM for very good breakfast and then it was on to the Hana Rd. Dave is very knowledgeable about Maui and Hawaii in general having lived here 38 years and is the owner of the tour group - we lucked out as he runs 18 other tour vehicles . Stopped a very interesting and beautiful island locations with lunch at a historic Hana resort. Again, very good meal. On the way home we again stopped at beautiful spots. Dave was very considerate and kind, always willing to answer our myriad of questions. We'll be back next year and plan another tour with Temptation Tours. Great way to see the Road to Hana!

Ernie knew a lot about the different plants and was great at pointing them out as he drove. He made it a very memorable event for us. I went with my older parents and since I didn't want to drive and didn't want my dad to drive, having someone else drive was the best way to go. Having breakfast and lunch included was awesome! And Ernie took us to the state park to see turtles sunning themselves on the beach. It was the best! Definitely recommend!!

One of our favorite tours during this trip. The van was super comfortable and a great way to see all that the road to Hana had to offer. Justin was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was super accommodating and always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. my wife and i would gladly do this tour again it was one of our most memorable experiences. breakfast and lunch were also so great.

The views are simply gorgeous and worth the 10 hour driving time. We had time to take photos and explore the waterfalls and black sand beach. Gayle was an awesome tour guide and driver. We were glad to have her in charge of driving the narrow and twisting road! Gayle was super informative about the island history, culture and plant life. Highly recommend!

Driver did not stop enough and didn’t offer us drinks until one of the tourist requested it. Breakfast and lunch were great but several cynic views were skipped. The waterfalls were nice but the ocean landscape was better and we didn’t see very much of it

Some locations may have no parking, or they may be on private property, and many are dangerous. It is one reason we designed our custom Luxury Limo-Van to accommodate only 8-guests and have large windows on each side for unobstructed viewing. In honoring the land and this island, we take our visitors to the beautiful places we welcome to visit—for example, Wai'anapanapa State Park and Black Sand Beach. It was a great experience. Beautiful scenic drive without the hassle of dealing with narrow roads and lots of curves. Plus Gayle our tour guide and driver adding lots of interesting information and stories that we would have missed had we ventured out on our own. The road to Hana is beautiful and something to see and experience. You will waste a lot of time if you are booking this from Lahaina - it's a long drive to just get to the other side of the island. Once we got to the road, the driver rushed past and pointed out beautiful scenery, at times stopping briefly for photos, but not really enough time to take it all in and appreciate the beauty.

Aloha Michael, Yes, the Road to Hana is epic and quite long, with 617 curves and 54 one-lane bridges. The beauty is unsurpassed. It is one of the most remote places in the world that you can drive to. There are many places along the road that are illegal to stop at and we must follow those rules due to the fragile environment of our lovely island. We have found that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable ride in our custom Luxury Limo-Vans with individual European Leather Captain's chairs and large viewing windows. Mixed with our Hawai'i Certified Tour guides and their awesome driving skills, humor, and wealth of knowledge of the island, we get great feedback with, consistent 5-Star reviews. Great Guide but tour consists mostly of driving and short stops on the way there

We were told by pretty much everyone that we MUST do the road to Hana. While it was pretty and there were some interesting points, at the end of it we thought there wasn't all that much to do - if your time in Hawaii is limited we would recommend skipping this day long activity. That said, our tour guide, Ray, was wonderful. He knew a ton about history and one of our favorite parts of the tour was hearing about the story of Hawaii, from the 1500s to today. Ray was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. The van was also extremely comfortable and we were glad to not be doing the road to Hana in a cramped uncomfortable bus, as the roads are quite winding and the drive is a long one. The tour stopped at a few places, including a waterfall, a banana bread stand, and a black sand beach. Each stop was about 15 minutes except for the beach, which was about 40. Breakfast and lunch were fine, certainly nothing to write home about, but with the two meals only 3 hours or so apart, I would have much rather skipped the breakfast and time spent at a diner in favor of a hike or doing something active (or even just more time at the beach, which also features a lava tube). Maybe all road to Hana tours necessarily consist of most of the time spent in a car, but although the guide was great and we were very conformable, this is not an activity we would say is a must do Maui experience. If you want to get part of the road to Hana experience we would opt for driving to the bamboo Forrest hike and hiking to the waterfall there. It isn't too far up the road, the driving is manageable, and it's a beautiful trail.

We had a fabulous trip yesterday from start to finish. Our guide and driver for the day was Ray who was amazing!!! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Maui and was very personable. We had a beautiful day, bright sunshine, not a drop of rain, even though Hana is a rain forest, low crowds and no traffic! Ray said he had never driven the Road to Hana with such perfect conditions. We had a lovely stop at Black Sand Beach, a waterfall and a wonderful lunch at the Hana Hotel. If you have the chance to do this tour through Temptation Tours, request Ray!!!! He was truly a “Ray” of sunshine!
