This tour begins with a hotel pickup in downtown Memphis. Begin on Beale Street, voted the most iconic street in America by USA Today. Beale Street runs from the Mississippi River to East Street, nearly two miles of blues clubs and restaurants that make it one of the top tourist attractions in Memphis. 

Drive through Victorian Village, a historic neighborhood with homes that were built in the 1800s. Pass by the statues of B.B. King and Elvis Presley as well as the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Hotel, where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.

Stop at A. Schwab, a Memphis institution that sells all things Memphis—from regional arts and crafts, to dry goods, magic potions, candies, books, magazines and more—and the Peabody Memphis, a landmark, 13-story downtown hotel.

Highly recommend this tour. Suggest a golf cart ride down to the river to board the boat. That was a challenge. Have your buses stay a few feet apart.

The tour guides brought history to life. The tour guides had great jokes and stories and did an awesome job. The Peabody duck celebration was silly but fun. I learned so much about the history of Memphis including why there’s a pyramid and the significance of the Peabody hotel.

We booked onto the Memphis city and Sun studio tour and we were not disappointed. Memphis is a beautiful city and Sam our driver and tour guide bought the whole experience to life for us. His knowledge and passion for his home town really shines through, he even gave us tips for the best places to have lunch. Part of the tour included seeing the Peabody hotel ducks which was enchanting and Sam showed us the famous Lorraine Hotel where Martin Luther King was assassinated. Sun studios were amazing, the story of Sun studios, the iconic artists and memorabilia are truly not to be missed. Thanks again to Sam for such a wonderful trip, we loved every minute.
