Dinner / Boat Tour

We enjoyed the buffet dinner and tour with Preston and Captain Ron. The food was really good and we were given plenty of time prior to boarding to enjoy our meal.

Not worth the money.

Poor food. Light show a joke. A very bright flash light on the cannon walls with a 6 th grade history narration not worth the money. Stay away.
An Enjoyable Enlightening Experience

This evening trek was very enjoyable and inspirational. The chuck wagon supper was well prepared with a variety of food selections. The wait staff was very friendly and was very aware of keeping social distancing in the dining hall area. The desert was very tasty but sparse in the serving of it— 3 bites and mine was gone. The cruise was safe and the offering of a blanket was well appreciated because if the night air. The narration and music were well done, the light on the cliffs and various rock formations were beautiful. A must do while in Moab.
a lovely evening

Dinner was nothing fancy but it was tasty & plentiful! The boat ride was lovely. We had a beautiful evening, quiet & smooth. The first half the guide pointed out rock formations & faces or animals the light & dark rockface created. When it was dark enough, the light show started. The narrative would be over young children and early elementary students heads, proly a little boring to Jr & Sr high kids but the stars were bright & the light and shadows on the rocks were lovely. The pictures made me think there would be colored lights...there were not. Overall a perfect evening.

Colorado River boat tour with stories and illumination
, Oct 2020
Fun cowboy themed night with a yummy dinner served buffet-style by staff behind plastic (for Covid). We were given assigned seats in dining hall and boat and had space in between groups. The group was entertained by stories, history and jokes while the sunset behind us as we traveled down the Colorado River between huge walls of rock. On the return trip, once it was dark, there was a bright light illuminating the rocks as we heard a recording of historical stories. The stars were beautiful and I was glad we accepted the offer of a blanket to keep warm. It gets cold after the sun goes down!
It was OK

The dinner was good and they did a very good job with Covid precautions. The boat ride was long...and the hard plastic seats were awful! I was expecting a little more for the price, but it was ok. The kids that were on the boat were glad when it was over. I wouldn’t do it again.
Would recommended to friends and family

Loved Dee. He’s the real deal. Not the best food but most of my party liked it. The river cruise was beautiful, amazing, the lights wow!. Didn’t care about the religious partS. With today’s climate I found the Brigham young comments about “teaching” indigenous people how to be civilized and take away their land disturbing. I was hoping to hear more about the original people and how they lived. More folk lore and legends. Not so much about how the people lost their land to white people.
