Arrive at Montreal’s Olympic Park, home to many of the venues from the 1976 Summer Olympics, and head to the top of the Montreal Tower Observatory in a glass-encased funicular—the only one in the world that operates on a curved structure. The hydraulic system allows the cabin to remain horizontal during the short ride to the top.

From the observatory level, marvel at the award-winning panoramic view of Montreal, the Laurentian Mountains, and the St. Lawrence River Valley. On clear days, it’s not uncommon to see up to 50 miles in any direction.

Your ticket is also inclusive of the "Since 1976" exhibit in Olympic Park. Travel back in time to learn about the construction of Olympic Park and the history of the area since 1976. Peruse the artifacts, photos, video archives, and much more at the permanent exhibit.
Itinerary
Stop At:
The Montreal Tower / La Tour de Montreal
Rising 541 feet (165 meters) at a 45-degree angle, the Montreal Tower is the world’s tallest leaning tower, with more than 250,000 visitors each year. Climb aboard a 2-level glass-encased funicular accommodating up to 76 passengers at a time, and enjoy the 2-minute ascent to the observatory deck. The only funicular in the world to operate on a curved structure, the sophisticated hydraulic system maintains the cabin on a horizontal level as it glides up the tower. At the top, marvel at the panoramas of Montreal, the Laurentian mountains and the St Lawrence River Valley. On clear days, see up to 50 miles (80 km) all around — a view that received a three-star rating from the Michelin Guide. It is no surprise that the Montreal Tower is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers, alongside the CN Tower in Toronto, the Empire State Building in New York and the Menara Tower in Kuala Lumpur. Included with your antrance, the Since 1976 exhibit will take you on a journey to rediscover the history of the Olympic Park, from its construction to today. The exhibition features a number of artefacts, as well as photos, video archives, interactive digital content, and even replicas of original furnishings. This permanent exhibit is located in the Montréal Tower and provides a closer look at different aspects of the Olympic Park’s history.

Excellent tour ... a must visit for tourist visiting Montreal. An 43 year old Olympic Park still attracts sports lovers and it’s really worth visiting place.

All depends on weather. If it is good, you are lucky and see Montreal. The most amazing experience is the lift up to the top of the Montreal Tower Observatory. The Biodome is inside a big building, weather is less affective, good for children , a family visit.

The tower was nothing special. The windows are pretty filthy so what you see is not very clear. But yes, you get to see the Montreal view from the top. Biodome was very cool. Penguins are the best!

View was nice but nothing to tell you what you were looking at or anyone around to ask. Long line/long wait. Worth it to do it once. Would not go back.

The tower is a unique structure but it was having repair-work done at the time and the missing panels and tower cranes did ruin it. It also seemed quite tired and very 1980s which I often find to be quite appealing but for some reason I had an issue with it here. I think perhaps it is that there has been so much redevelopment around the site yet the stadium and tower seem to have been neglected. The Biodome on the other had was excellent and made up for the disappointment of the tower.

Great views of the city from atop the Olympic Stadium. BioDome is always a treat and a great way to see some of the local wildlife. Kids and adults love it.

This is not really a tour. I purchased the admission because is was a little cheaper than buying tickets on the day itself. It was also a better deal since we included the Biodome. The printed voucher has to be presented at the ticket office to obtain the actual tickets. All in all it saved us some money. The Observatory was interesting and since we are Olympic fans and the 2016 games were underway, it was fun to be at this Olympic site.
