We were in town for our 5th anniversary. We decided to do the food tour. The guy wqs cool and had the knowledge, but we wait an hour for the first resurants and only got beans and rice. That was not worth the wait.. we only taste three resurants and all were rice based diahes. I didnt like the tour at all. Its should be better samples and a few more resurants.

It was a great walk around the French Quarter with 4 tasting stops. Learned the difference between creole and Cajun cooking. Gumbo and jambalaya. Had great creamy red beans and rice. A muffelata sandwich and a praline that was to die for.

Did 3-6 pm tour, and had enough samples from enough places to make dinner out of it. Enjoyed the guide, enjoyed the walking, enjoyed the food. Would recommend!

Disappointed in this experience. I expected being able to visit some name restaurants and learn their techniques for their unique dishes. Instead, we went to a few small 'hole-in-the-wall' places and had a small taste of one item at each. No interaction with restaurant staff or insight into ingredients or preparation. I can go to a restaurant and eat without paying for a tour guide. Would not recommend this tour to anybody else.
