Meet your guide at a centrally located point to begin your tour.

Wander through this verdant residential area of New Orleans to admire the many beautiful 19th-century antebellum mansions—it's the largest collection of this style of buildings in the world. At one time, this part of the city was taken up by a few plantations. These were later broken up into the separate residential plots you see today.

The streets are lined with Live Oaks, sometimes branching across roads to create lush tunnels between fine examples of quintessentially New Orleanian architectural styles. Look for scrolled cast-iron fences and grand white columns.

Before concluding the tour, visit one of the city's famous above-ground cemeteries, Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, which dates from the 19th century.

Very disappointed that even with 3 confirmed tickets for the 10 am tour, no tour guide showed up. When we called I was told we weren’t down for a 10:00 tour and when I said we had confirmed paid tickets I was told I could trade them in for another tour. That did us no good since we were leaving. No refund so far!

Guide very knowledgeable about the district. He also took time beforehand to research for interior pics of many of the homes.
Loved it!

Amazing tour! The garden district is a must see when traveling to New Orleans. Our tour guide Ron was so insightful and answered any questions we had. Request him if you can!
An Awesome Experience

Our tour guide was delightful and full of energy that made the tour fun and engaging. The way she described the history of the Garden District and the surrounding areas was well done and made the two hour tour fly by. Would definitely recommend!
Very informative

Mike was awesome. He is a man full of knowledge about the area. Very enthusiastic. If he could have controlled the humidity it would have been better. All kidding aside. Mike is the go to for this tour.
A must do tour!

If you are in Nola you must do this tour. Diane was awesome and very knowledgeable. I loved all the stories and history she told us about each house visited. Not to mention learning about the home’s architecture. My favorite was visiting the celebrity homes.

Historical Garden District Tour

I had truly a fantastic time on this tour yesterday. The Historical Garden District tour taught me so much about the neighborhood through the years and was a great introduction to the area. Ron is knowledgeable and friendly! I had a wonderful time learning from hi. Thank you!

Very knowledgeable guide; we learned a lot. However, it was very hot, and we spent two hours in the heat (although our guide did try to find shady areas). It would have been nice to have a break, or at least have places to sit occasionally. I was very tired at the end of the tour, not to mention very hot!
