Driver with no mask

Our bus driver, KP was coughing all through the way with NO mask! Wish the lives of slaves were given more attention rather than focusing just on the owners family history

Our bus driver , KP, was engaging, helpful, and informative . He knew every customer by name and catered to whatever they asked or needed. Our guide at Oak Alley, Mr Anthony , was equally excellent

Disappointing experience.

It was very disappointing experience. We took a tour to Oak Valley Plantation. My advise is if you have you own vehicle don’t take this tour because the only thing you will get from them is transportation to the Plantation and back. You will pay twice more for this and will lose couple more hours for picking up and dropping off participants of the tour from different hotels through the city. The general admission tickets to the Plantation include guided tour that goes every 15 min, and you can easily get it any time for much less money. For example, we paid $ 222 for group of 5 with this company. If we would drive in our own to the Plantation and bought tickets on the site, we would paid $ 75 for the same tour. When we asked the company what is the add value of the trip with them that costs us $147, they told us that that it is transportation and some history that driver provided us during the ride. Driver was very friendly, but he didn’t provide any information, we were listening to the radio all the way long. Company is not very client oriented and explained us that it’s our fault and no refund. I agree it is our fault choosing this tour and this company.

The tour guide at the Laura Plantation displayed a deep knowledge of its history. There's a tiny museum behind the store that delves deeper into the lives of the enslaved people.

Interesting Plantation Tour

Very interesting tour and sad at times to see how the wealthy lived in the mid 1800s, and how their slaves worked and were treated . Only negative was the time it took to get to the Oak plantation and back, that the reason for only five stars.
