Great tour of the Met with Katherine
, Jul 2021
Katherine, our tour guide, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed touring the museum with her. She pointed out things and told us background stories we wouldn't have other wise seen or known. Highly recommend her!

Excellent tour. Highly recommended a very comprehensive tour of the highlights of the Metropolitan museum.
Fabulous day at the MET

Our guide was amazing we were impressed with how much she knew about MET and New York art culture. We wish we had more time to go back.
MET was fun!

Robin did a fantastic job - her knowledge of the museum and artists was amazing. It was a bit overwhelming seeing so much of the property in such a short amount of time. But the tour serves as a great way to get the lay of the land and then follow up with what really interests you.
Excellent, Comprehensive and Professional

This is a good tour to take when visiting the MET.. Our guide James was fantastic. He obviously knows the museum like the back of his hand. We learned a lot from him that day. Things from both the history books and the pages of VF. We hope all guides and companies operated their tours this way.
Fabulous Experience

Jonathan was a marvelous guide. Extremely knowledgeable. As a first timer at the Met, I would highly recommend a guided tour. He hit all of the highlights of the museum. We walked a total of 2 1/2 miles, so be sure you have some comfortable walking shoes.
Must Do

We had Jessie and we are so glad we chose the “private” upgrade so it was just my family. It was soooo worth it! Jessie was a great guide and took us around to see what we wanted and didn’t waste time on what we didn’t. I recommend getting the upgrade to a private tour for your group. You can talk and have more fun and stop to really take in the museum where you are most interested.
With James at the Met !
, Oct 2019
My parents are not museum goers, but wanted to experience the Met. Having been to many museums around the world, i thought booking a tour would be great as an introduction to this vast collection. James met us at the door, brought us in thru security and the ticket line, with a quick introduction of the museum history, and led us to the first group of exhibits on early Mexican ruins. Nothing i would really spend much time with as the museum is so huge, but James brought humor and an understanding of these finds that was fascinating (now i am regretting wanting to rush thru these!). Each room and corridor into a new culture, new continent, new era. James delivered facts, stories and insight at every twist and turn. I was so surprised when our tour ended at the roof top of the museum, the 3 hours flew by with my head buzzing about what i had learned, and also wondering if my parents had enjoyed this tour as much as i did. Turns out, the experience brought tears to my step mothers eyes, how she had never invested time into exploring the treasures of a museum, and what she could have missed in her life. They will now be active museum visitors where ever they travel ! Thank you James for a great experience !

The only way the tour could have been better is if it lasted all day. My wife and I had just a short amount of time so we wanted a guided tour to make sure we got to see the “good stuff”. Beyond just seeing the art, Mark taught us about the culture and personal lives of the artists. We even learned how the art ended up in the Met and how the Met ended up as the current structure. He was amazing. His excitement for the art and history was definitely contagious. Would definitely recommend!
Jeff was fantastic!
, Aug 2019
We did the private tour of the Met with Jeff as our guide. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We didn’t wait in line and saw the major highlights of the museum in our 2 hour tour. This was a great way to get a taste of the Met without wandering for hours not knowing what’s there. We learned so much and saw many breathtaking pieces. This tour was well worth it.
