Tour for schoolchildren, not adults

Very disappointed that guide showed so few pieces from the museum(about 7)of such a large collection. Extremely simplistic and elementary- we were expecting more. Would not recommend

Awful

Not great the website was most confusing. Too many steps, I mixed up the time (thought I was booking for 11 am rather than 4 pm), asked to move the booking a week but have heard nothing so I guess that is €10 down the drain. Also I thought I was booking a general Louvre tour but found out on the day it was all about Napoleon. A most frustrating day and disappointing experience

The background details that our guide, Abbey, shared with us. It made it memorable and she also was happy to engage us in conversation through the chat facility

Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, articulate and had personality. This was the best virtual tour I have taken during COVID.

Hi Linda! Thanks so much for joining us for the tour of the Louvre! We're thrilled to hear this was the best one you've done and I know Abbie will appreciate hearing that. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we hope to see you on another one soon. Cheers!

Virtual Louvre Tour

Abbie McLeans personality made the tour so enjoyable. Her view of Napoleons gifts to himself was a favorite. Her knowledge and choice of art pieces reflects her love of the subject. We plan on registering for the virtual Louvre sculpture tour and hopes she develops a Louvre series. We plan on a Louvre visit in 4/2022 and would love to have her as our our personal guide .

Quite enjoyable, presented by a host that obviously knew very much about the subject, and was eager to share her knowledge with us. Recommended!

Fantastic!! Far too short. Very well presented. Super energy. Fact filled but with interesting historical and art-savvy perspective. The three of us are going to try to attend Abbie’s Louvre statues tour as well.

A wonderful taste of the Louvre!

Abbie is a terrific tour guide. I really appreciated that she gave a broad overview of the Louvre itself and then focused on just a handful of works and spent time talking about each of these in more detail. She also did a good job of answering people’s questions they’d put in the chat box. And, she continued to answer and discuss until there were no more questions. While some things about in-person tours can never be replaced with technology, there are sometimes technological aspects that are better than in-person — allowing questions via a chat box is one of those better features. That way, the questions don’t interrupt the flow of the guide’s presentation, and the guide can focus at the end on only those questions that remain unanswered.

Hi Cece! Thanks so much for leaving such a comprehensive review! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the tour. Abbie truly is an amazing guide and we're lucky to have her! We agree it's hard to replace in-person tours but glad you like the setup of the virtual tours and we're happy to be bringing these places to people around the world.
