Parvis du Sacré-Cœur, 75018 Paris, France
During the Belle Époque period around the turn of the 19th century, Paris’ Montmartre neighborhood was the heart of the city’s blooming artistic scene. Make your own way to this creative enclave to meet your guide, and set off on a walking tour. On a leisurely stroll down cobblestone streets and past charming cafés, learn about the artistic history of the area and hear stories about the many renowned artists who lived and worked here.

See the former home of van Gogh, the windmill that inspired Renoir’s Bal du moulin de la Galette and the legendary Moulin Rouge nightclub captured in many paintings by Toulouse-Lautrec. Conclude your guided tour at the base of the Sacré Coeur Basilica, where you can take in sweeping views of Paris from the city’s highest point.

Your guide will issue your skip-the-line ticket to the Musée de l'Orangerie and direct you to this lovely museum nestled in the Tuileries Gardens on the banks of the River Seine. Explore the galleries at your leisure, admiring Impressionist masterpieces like Monet’s Water Lilies series and works by Cézanne, Matisse, Picasso, Renoir and more.

With an optional upgrade, continue your artistic exploration with a skip-the-line ticket to the Musée d'Orsay. Bypass the long queues and be inspired by the world’s largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings.

Please note: Ask your guide for directions if you want to visit the Musée de l'Orangerie and Musée d'Orsay (if you've upgraded) right after your walking tour. Alternatively, you can use your ticket to visit on another day of your choice.

Absolutely loved this walk! I was part of a group of three which allowed for a very personalized tour. Romain went at a comfortable pace and was genuinely delighted to answer questions not only about the tour but also about french history, culture, etc. He made the tour seem like we were walking with a friend and chatting about our surroundings. The walk itself is worth it. The winding cobblestone streets, the cafes, the music, the stories and the views are a highlight of my time in Paris! I would recommend the tour

The Montmarte Art Walking Tour was wonderful. The weather was great, the walking was good, the sights were great, and the suggested eating places were excellent. I was especially happy to see places related specifically to Vincent van Gogh, and places that were used for paintings. Our tour guide was wonderful, funny, and helpful. Musée de l'Orangerie was small, but it's quite a pretty little art gallery. Seeing Monet's water lily paintings in those giant rooms was quite interesting. Musée d'Orsay was wonderful. The museum is beautifully constructed and there is so much art there. We were lucky to be there during an exhibit dedicated to nighttime scenes, which I love. Starry Night Over the Rhône was on display, and there were many other beautiful paintings by artists I've never heard of. I love nighttime paintings and landscapes, so this was a pleasure. And the sheer amount of Monets in other parts of the museum was wonderful. The marbles were also fantastic.

We were very disappointed in this tour in Oct 16. The male guide had very limited knowledge of art it was really a walking tour of the Montmartre district which was not what we wanted or paid for. The walk ended in a secluded and hidden area at the back of Sacre Couer - which was a pleasant surprise. After this we found our own way to the Musée de l'Orangerie and then on another day to Musée d'Orsay. We would have been better off giving the walk a miss or going on a general walking tour of Montmartre with another operator and buying the tickets to the two collections ourselves on line.

I took this walking tour with Delphine and she was a beautiful inside and out tour guide . , she gave a wonderful explanation of the area from the Moulin Rouge to the places where Picasso, Renoir etc painted and lived. This really is a tour for people with a basic background in French art/history and you should be able to walk easily. This was one of my favorite activities on my trip!

Our guide, Quentin, was a friendly, knowledgeable native Parisian. There was only one other family in our group, which was fitting for such a quaint, intimate setting. Our tour was led through quiet, uncrowded, picturesque winding cobblestone streets as we were informed of the Belle Époque artists who once called the hill home. I appreciated how the tour ended at the Sacre-Coeur, as this showcased a decent portion of the surrounding village and emphasized that the Basilica is just the district's most prominent feature, rather than its only part. I would highly recommend this tour for any art/art history enthusiasts!

Great way to see the highlights of Montmartre. This was probably my favorite tour of the several we did. Musee d'Orsay is amazing! We didn't have a chance to visit the Musee de l'Orangerie, unfortunately. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out great highlights of Montmartre.
