Your full-day tour of Philly meets at the corner of 9th and South Street, outside of New Image Art & Framing. Your guide and group set off through the city at 10am sharp.

Walk through a few of Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, such as the Bella Vista area and Queen Village. Pass by a market that’s one of the oldest open-air markets in America. Other spots you can see on your way through are the Liberty Bell, the National Constitution Center, Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, and Ben Franklin House. You can also see where the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution took place.

Afterward, it’s time to hit up bars and pubs that locals love. Visit four different locations, and get to sip a beer at each. From one of the oldest continuously operating bars in Philly to a classic dive bar, there’s a different type of atmosphere to experience at each. Your tour ends at the final pub where you can decide for yourself what to do with the rest of your night.

City Hall Visitor Center
In our opinion, there are few better ways to get to know a city than over a beer with a local. You'll meet your beer guide (or potentially continue on with one of your original guides!) at City Hall just as locals are finishing up their workday. We’ll have the option to visit the oldest continuously operating bar in Philadelphia, a classic dive bar, an Irish pub with local flair, a modern beer café, and many other neighborhood bars and pubs. At each location, we'll talk about the history of these bars and why they are so popular. One drink at each bar is included with the tour, as well as a pub or street snack. And the bars we visit all have one thing in common: a taste for Philadelphia's local craft beers and breweries! After happy hour, end your Philadelphia tour at the tour's final pub. From there you’ll be able to continue on your own Philly beer journey, grab some dinner at one of Philadelphia's many great restaurants nearby, or head straight back to your new favorite Philadelphia pub.

Pricey but worth it if you've only got one day in Philly

Here's a real review from a real person for everyone looking at this like I was a week ago wondering if this is really going to be worth forking over almost $200 for a tour. Simple answer: yes! The tour is actually three tours. First off is a market district and sort of arts district mosaic cool area tour. We had ours with Annette and it was a complete blast! It felt like the most relatable and current part of the trip. People do still live in all the houses we saw and use the market area we saw. Loved getting to get the deep insights into most of the places we went to also. Without Annette I would have just blindly walked through everything thinking, "oh this is cool, wonder what all the fuss is about though?" Also, didn't have to make up any BS stories for the girlfriend while we were there. Tour one was about ten am to one pm. Part two is the history part. You go through old town Phillidelphia and see Independence Hall and a few other places in the area. If there's time you'll see the Liberty Bell (don't worry if you don't, it's just a Bell that even a history nerd like me didn't care much about). Our guide Henry was very informative. Turns out he got a law degree in Paris and this is his retirement fun job. Dude was awesome. Super friendly and brought everything to our level. Nothing felt over the top or too boring. It was just the right blend of honest history blended with modern issues and humor. Solid tour. Went from about one thirty to four. Last tour is the beer tour you finally get. Actually turns into four beers since they start you off immediately with a beer. To be honest, this was what I was most excited about but ended up being the least exciting part. You can get beers anywhere, and there's just so much about Philly to love outside of beer. That being said, our guide Howard was great the whole time. We mostly ended up just talking like three friends gathered around. He knew about the history of the sites we went to and a good amount about beer, but really his role at that point was being a hired drinking buddy which was fine by us. Also congrats to him, he just had a daughter eight days before this tour apparently. This went to about eight pm, then we walked to an Italian joint for dinner. All in all a great day and considering we only had one full day to see Philly it was perfect. A little pricey, but when you factor in four beers each and the fact that you're getting a guide with a group that shouldn't be more than 12 people for nine hours, that's not bad at all. Bonus, when we went it was only the girlfriend and I except for tour one so we had our guides on a real personal level. Downside was I felt like I needed to tip each guide $40 each tour since it was only us two so it was pricey. Even at that level, still very worth it!
