This walking tavern tour begins outside the front doors of the Independence Visitor Center at the corner of 6th and Market Streets in Philadelphia. Arrive early to check in, then enjoy this guided social drinking and feasting evening out. It’s both entertaining and educational.

Explore Philly’s Old Town with stories of ghosts, witches, ghouls, and pagan traditions.

See where America’s founding fathers shared a beverage. Also, experience psychic and tarot card readings by Laurie Hull (McCabe) and visit three taverns. Each stop along the way includes a choice of two alcoholic beverages plus Oktoberfest and Halloween candy giveaways. Hot food samples and additional brews are available for an additional cost.

Kites, Keys, and The Constitution are discussed on most tours that cover Benjamin Franklin. They will not be discussed here. We discuss instead the most interesting and less told facets of this complex and interesting Founding Father. Franklin's brewing activities, advise on woman, connections to grave robbery, and other surprising but true complexities of this intriguing personality will be explored.

National Constitution Center
When ground was broke for construction of the National Constitution Center numerous bodies were discovered and re-interred to other burial plots across the city. We discuss here Native American ritual, burial practices, lore, and haunted history of the area.

The City Tavern is one of the haunted taverns on that list that was frequented by numerous presidents and Founding Fathers of the USA in 1776 including future presidents Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe. Alexander Hamilton, Paul Revere, Patrick Henry, and others ate and drank here often.

The tour was very interesting and informational. Lance did a wonderful job. The tour really started rolling once we entered the pub crawl phase!! I highly recommend the tour!

tour guide was 25 minutes late had not been advised he had this tour to lead. First bar was smoky. Austin, the guide, was very well-spoken and knowledgable. Made me want to do a tour of the old section of town in general.

Awesome Tour Guide. Just wish there was a little more info on our trip on scary things! Snacks were poor at bars candy corn and popcorn. However still had a great time.
