Awesome experience: history, food, art (what else could you want)!

This was an awesome tour. Our tour guide Chuck is a south Philly native and was extremely knowledgeable about the neighborhood, it’s history and evolution, as well as all the best spots and side streets for us to walk through. On the walk to the market, we saw several beautiful mosaics. Chuck provided us with a lot of background about the artist and point out specific details and techniques you would easily miss without a guide. The market itself was awesome! Packed with history, and we got to have a lot of great samples. Along the way chuck suggested other places we could stop for a meal after the tour; he was so helpful. I would highly recommend this tour, and hope to bring friends on it in the future.

Our tour guide Stephanie was friendly and knowledgeable from the meet-up until we parted ways at the Magic Garden. It was like traveling with a Rock Star! All the stops along the way greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome. When Stephanie gave us our discount card she highly recommended her co-worker Mike and the History Tour he guides. Apparently, Urban Adventures only hires Rock Stars! Looking forward to booking my History tour in the near future. Thank you, Stephanie for helping to make our 29th Anniversary extra special ❤️

Annett was our guide. She's very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. It was a good way to get a feeling for the history of the neighborhood. Just walking around without a tour first is not an optimal way to explore an area. And ending at the Magic Gardens was the icing on the cannolli! It was on our list of places to see and this tour satisfied two attractions.

Annette led us on a wonderful 3 1/2 hour tour of South Philly's Italian Market and Mosaic art including the Magic Gargen -any part of the tour would be worth your time and money but taken together it was amazing. Annette had a real love of The Italian market and the mosaic art and brought us to her favorites ( thruout S Philly) The tour is really great but if you can ask for Annette you won't regret it!

Great, informative tour of the South Street art scene and the 9th Street Italian Market. In addition to loads of information from our very knowledgeable tour guide Nicole, the price includes samples of various items - including cheeses, oils, vinegar, gelato, and fresh bread. Our tour ran a little long - which was fine - just don't book your next appointment too close to the stated finish time as you'll want to complete the tour at the Magic Garden. Definitely recommend!

Our tour guide Chuck was knowledgeable, personable and friendly. We had an excellent group with us as well! Got to taste a bunch of different items in the Italian Market and learn all about the rich history that Philadelphia has to offer. We were SO excited to get to meet the mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar as we approached the Magic Gardens. I lived in Philly years ago and had no idea how special those mosaics were. Worth double the price, don't miss this one!

Stephanie was our tour guide, we were super impressed with her knowledge of the city and her passion for it. It really made the tour even better. Loved all of it and my husband and I would have probably never gone to the Magic Gardens on our own so it was a great addition. Loved the Italian Market and we went back the next day!
