We can pick you up in: Amber Cove, Taino Bay, and within the Puerto Plata city, ours service included all hotel of the zone. Amber Cove: the pick up will be outside of the port, after the principal gate, left side of the avenue. About 10 to 12 minutes walk. Taino Bay: the pick up will be at the main entrance, at the right side of the taxi station, outside of the door. About 2 minutes walk.

One of the best tour experiences we’ve ever had. We booked through Viatour because we like to support local companies. Edwin Tours was the local company that was assigned to us and they were fantastic! They customized the tour for us to have the best time possible! They constantly offered cold drinks and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend using local instead of big cruise ship companies!

First Timers City Tour a Must!

Luis & Edwin were amazing! We booked the city tour two days before hand and we’re told the day before what time they would be picking us up from our resort in Puerto Plata. The tour and guys were so informative and pleasant. We went to all locations (except chocolate factory as it was closed that day) and we’re always greeted by friendly people. Luis took SOOO many pictures for us and we always had some time on our own to look around while the pair kept a watchful eye. Be prepared to walk a decent amount. Nothing crazy and they do provide water for the tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone to get a better understanding of the history of Puerto Plata and it’s surroundings. Thank you again Luis & Edwin!

Our guides were extremely courteous and certainly knew the local history and great places to tour us through. We learned so much of the area and the history of Puerto Plata! We toured a rum factory (with tastings), a chocolate and coffee factories (again with tastings), a fort, a cigar factory where we rolled our own cigars, and a ton more! We highly recommend this tour and especially Edwin, our driver (1-829-660-6624) and Luis our guide who couldn't be more cordial and punctual! Great people and super clean transportation!!

Highly Recommended Puerto Plata City Tours!

The tour was very private, only four of us in the van. Luis guided every places mentioned in the tours. We loved tasting a variety of Macorix rum. Two of my best favorite places were the Umbrella Street and the Pink Street. Luis knew exactly where to shoot photos for us. They were one of a kind pictures. He took us to the local restaurant with the local price on the beach. We got back on time for the ship with two extra hours for shopping. Luis and Edwin (driver) are the best! They treat us like VIP.

When my wife was ill in the morning we could not join the scheduled tour. We texted Luis in the late morning when my wife felt better and he agreed to an afternoon tour. He and Edwin the driver were awesome and we really enjoyed ourselves. They went above and beyond.

We were met at the taxi line by Edwin & Louis, holding a sign with our name on it. Edwin was the driver and Louis did the talking. They were very nice and informative and took us to many places in the town and told us much of the history of Puerto Plata. When you take this tour you are, as they will tell you, "Part of their family", and they made you feel that way. A very good way to spend your port visit.
