Great for first time visitors
Ajay_R

We picked the tour information from via rail station which was pretty helpful. As first time visitors to Quebec city, this tour was helpful to identify key spots that we should prioritize in the one day we had. Recommend boarding the bus first time from the information center. You can then choose to get down or board from any of the 14/15 stops. The stops have sign posts for easy identification.

Great way to see a multitude of sites in Quebec City if you have a limited period of time. Audio narration is helpful.

The views of Old Quebec are beautiful. It was a great introduction to the city. I wish there was more history in the narration.

Awesome HOHO. Driver was great. Earplugs worked perfectly. Enjoyed it totally. Best Hoho ever and we have taken many, even in Europe. Great, clean city and totally enjoyed the Quebec tour.

Beautiful and informative tour. Make sure you leave early enough in the day because it stops running around 5 pm and you need to start at least a couple of hours before that, or longer if you plan to hop off anywhere.

Good tour BUT Website could be more helpful

It would be very helpful if they would post the stops & schedule on their website! Could not find it easily if it’s there! Fortunately our bellman knew where the closest stop was. Enjoyed the convenience of this tour but wish it was like the one in Montreal w/ 2 days to use it OR they gave you an option to chose 1 or 2 days. Hits all the significant places & included lots of history! Great way to preview the city before we decided where we wanted to spend time.

My husband and I had a great experience. The stops were well-timed, and it was just right to be able to purchase a lunch during our wine tasting. Our guide Yves was a warm and generous guide, and full of interesting stories that enhance the way we think about Quebec and its history.

Great overview/intro for Quebec City

A great way to see a very hilly city before setting out on a walk. The history on the recorded guide was good and the driver’s comments added to our knowledge. We did the whole circuit then decided where we wanted to get off and explore further.

Worst Hop On Bus tour in Quebec City
SHASHI_G
, Jun 2022
The commentary on the bus was very sparse. Hardly any information on history/ culture/ significance of what we were seeing. It was mostly piped music, with a few sentences sometimes. The worst Hop on Bus tour I have been to.

Very uninteresting

Very poor hop on hop off. Bus stops without interest. Driver was nice but the outside organizer was very rude with us. Buses were over booked. Too many people travelled standing up. There were any space left. It was a very bad experience.

Poor Planning
archiejernigan
, Oct 2019
Our driver was good. the weather was bad. The company planned poorly for having three cruise ships in town. We could only stand and the windows were so foggy we could not see anything. I realize the company could not do anything about the weather, but they could have planned to put more busses in service. I think Quebec is a beautiful city, but I could not see it!

Doug was our driver, gave a great deal of information that was not on the narrative. Rode from stop #2 all the way around on got off at #8 the second time. When we got back on several hours later at #8 we were fortunate enough to have Doug as our driver once again. Great day with his help!

Trying to exchange voucher to individual tickets is very difficult. I will not book group voucher this way at all!
GlobeTrotting98206
, Oct 2019
Viator should give clear instructions to to the whereabouts of the tourist info. I have a group of senior citizens and the tourism info is 15 min walking up hills. However, individual vouchers will be the right way to get, don't get a group voucher. It is a pain to exchange it into individual tickets!

This was a disaster!
bar579ca1
, Oct 2019
Listening with ear buds is bad enough but our guide kept turning it on and off at the wrong times and sometimes talking over it. The biggest problem, though, was there were clearly not enough buses on the route. At the third stop we overfilled with people who had been waiting over an hour for the next bus. This continued at every other stop. Soon the bus was jammed with people standing everywhere. When the guide or ear buds said to see something 'on your left' all we could see were people standing in the aisle. At every stop there were more people to get on!!! We had to turn away folks who had been waiting a long time for the next bus, time and time again. It became commuting not touring. Back at the tourist center we took another one to get to a river excursion we wanted to see - just a few stops in. This time we had a real guide - what a difference! We would have stayed on and gone the whole route again but we preferred the river excursion.
