Unforgettable day

I only had a very brief stopover in Iceland and this was an absolutely excellent way to spend a day — I feel like I got such a wealth of new impressions, and learned a ton too. Jökulsárlón is an incredible place to see (absolutely do the boat ride. We saw a seal too, sunbathing on an iceberg), as is the waterfall we visited along the way (there’s sort of a cave behind it and you can stand behind the waterfall — a bit of climbing over wet rocks involved, do bring solid shoes and waterproof clothes). It’s true that you spend a lot of time in the bus, but the views are mostly amazing, I actually really enjoyed this. Our friendly guide Palli shared interesting information not just about the immediate sights and surroundings but also some interesting background info about Iceland in general. He also knew when to stop talking and let us rest. Someone got lost at the first rest stop and the driver and guide did not rest until we successfully got that person back on board. We did recoup the lost time too by end of day (impressive); I suspect this is why the scenic stops and food breaks got a little bit shorter than I would have ideally liked, but I understand that scheduling must be tight on such a long drive. I’d absolutely recommend this tour.

Jökulsárlón is worth it

Please keep in mind that going to Jökulsárlón is quite far from Reykjavik. Hence majority part of the tour is mostly traveling. Due to this we were only able to stop at the Seljalandsfoss and only passed by the Skógafoss. Included also on this tour is the Reynisfjara however we were actually on the other side where you cannot see the basalt columns. Additionally during the time in Reynisfjara is also the time allotted for dinner that's why there won't be enough time to do both. Hence I still highly recommend to get a separate South Coast tour in order to enjoy the South Coast places more. This tour is much more concentrated on Jökulsárlón and the Diamond Beach which are both already awesome on their own. Lunch and dinner stops are sufficient. Of course if you are picky on food then better to pack your own as there are not much choices. Although the bus ride is long, reaching this place is really really worth it. I highly recommend on getting the boat tour as it was very informative and you will also get to see the glaciers up close.

Matt and Kal were amazing hosts for this tour. Matt was so knowledgable about Iceland and full of hilarious fun facts that kept us all going throughout the long day. We were able to fit so many sights and experiences into the day, without feeling rushed at any part. Matt was a great photographer as well, and pointed us towards all of the best photo op locations. Thank you for a great experience!!

Breathtaking views and the glaciers up close are even better

This was the best tour that we are so glad that we booked. The guide, Simone was amazing. The whole experience was magnificent. Despite not so great weather, we loved our tour, even though it was a long day. We were given enough time to explore and take pictures of many scenic places like the waterfals, Diamond beach and then the Glacier Lagoon. This place is amazing, no matter what weather. If you are coming to Iceland, this tour is one I can recommend over all the others- a must do as it covers lot of ground. The bus is comfy and there are many stops planned for food, snacks and to stretch your legs. We had the most amazing fish and chips, at the glaciers, recommended by our guide. On the way back there were more stops including another Glacier, not known to many. Once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommended. Boat ride was a cherry on the cake.

It was an amazing tour with great photo stops! We especially liked the Glacier Lagoon and the Diamond Beach. These two spots are just incredibly beautiful. Furthermore, we were even able to spot some seals. All in all, it was a great experience!

Did not get to see Skógafoss

That Nature was stunning. Unfortunately, the guide decided to skip the Skógafoss waterfall without even telling us. That was disappointing since I was looking very much forward to seeing it... 🙁

Tommy was an amazing warm and funny guide . I’m so glad I saw the amazing sights and did the boat ride, even though the ride is brutally long .
