Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Meet at the BSI Bus Terminal, where you’ll board a climate-controlled vehicle destined for your first stop—the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park.

Explore the site in your vehicle, stopping to capture photographs of the park’s striking landscapes and listening to history-rich commentary that dates back to 93 AD. Then, proceed to a geothermal area named Geysir Geyser to watch powerful streams of water emerge from the earth’s molten core.

From here, you’ll travel to the Langjökull glacier to embark on a snowmobile adventure. Before boarding your vehicle, receive a detailed safety briefing from your instructor and don the necessary protective equipment. Two to a snowmobile, you’ll ascend to the glacier’s summit and enjoy panoramic views of Iceland’s striking scenery.

Exhilarated, return to your vehicle and make your final stop at Gullfloss Waterfall, a staggering waterfall originating from a glacial lake. Capture sufficient photographs of the natural wonder and then relax during the journey back to your original departure point in Reykjavik.

A snowy adventure
, Oct 2021
An absolute must do. We were able to visit a national park, and geysir before embarking on a snowmobile adventure. An absolute highlight of the trip. It felt like we were on another planet! Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland.

Excellent trip, very informative tour guide / driver who added to the experience. So many tours to choose from in Iceland but I found Reykjavik excursions to be the best company I dealt with and the tour comes highly recommended.
Amazing, book it now! 5*

Absolutely amazing excursion. Lovely, knowledgeable tour guide who gave us so much interesting information throughout our journey. The golden circle of course had lots of wonderful views and natural beauty’s to see but the highlight was definitely the snowmobiling for us. So well organised, everything you could need to wear was provided even gloves and shoe covers. Staff, instructors and drivers were all friendly, helpful and made the day memorable. The views on top of the glacier are like nothing you will ever see again. So beautiful and you don’t feel rushed or like you don’t get enough time on the snowmobile or up on the glacier. Overall a great trip and will be recommending to friends I have visiting Iceland in the near future. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Snowmobile is an amazing experience, it’s not something I can imagine, highly recommended. The instructors are very professional, very clear with the instructions, make everyone feel safe with it , yet still so much fun.
I want my money back.

The bus broke down and we had to fill coolant from a near by creek to make it back. We never made it to the glacier. There was no talk about refund for a failed trip.

The best part of our trip!
, Apr 2020
This was by far the highlight of our entire trip to Iceland! We got a wonderful clear day, we set off on a large coach bus that has a restroom. Very comfortable and enough room for us to each have 2 seats. We stopped at your typical Golden circle stops and got to see everything. The guide was wonderful and very informative. Almost every stop had bathroom facilities as well as food. We were able to get a hot lunch as well. The highlight by far is the snowmobiling. We got off the bus and onto a “tiny bus” which was a military grade bus with tires that came up about 5 feet, and made our way up the glacier. Half we up we switched to an ever larger bus that took us to basecamp. At basecamp we suited up (wear warm but thin baselayers) and then got a tutorial in snowmobiling. You ride them in pairs, and switch driving half way through. Afterwards we went back to basecamp and had hot cocoa and biscuits in a warm heated lodge before heading down the mountain. It was a once in a lifetime experience that we’ll be telling our kids about one day!

Although the weather could be described as a whiteout, the whole experience from the tour in the huge Ford off road vehicle to the snowmobiling was great. Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly.

Don’t think twice!

So when I was booking I thought “it’s a lot of money for an excursion”. Well... it was worth every penny. You see Iceland in the format nature intended... raw and cold. Snowmobiles were brilliant and the waterfall was stunning - if not perishingly cold. Would recommend.
