Overview

Ascend to the summit of Iceland’s highest waterfall on a full-day hiking trip to the Glymur Waterfall from Reykjavik. Alongside your guide, you’ll embark on a 2.5-hour hike through colorful fields and dramatic canyons. From the top of the Glymur Waterfall, you’ll absorb spectacular views before visiting the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park — famed for its insurmountable glaciers and rivers.

After pickup in Reykjavik, board a climate controlled vehicle destined for Hafnafjörður, a lively port encircled by lava fields and natural fjords. From here, you’ll embark on a moderate hike along a route carved by Iceland’s highest waterfall —  Glymur Waterfall.

Trek through colorful meadows and dramatic canyons, stopping intermittently to enjoy the scenery and listen to commentary from your guide. At the summit, enjoy spectacular views before descending to the next segment of your adventure.

From here, you’ll head back to Reykjavik and bid your guide farewell after drop-off.
  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • This is a small group experience, limited to 12 participants per guide for a more personalized experience.
  • Please remember to bring: packed lunch, a water-bottle, hiking shoes, warm and waterproof clothing, and a backpack
  • Hiking boots and waterproof clothing can be rented from the operator for a small fee if you let them know in an advance
  • The minimum age for this tour is 10 years old
