Begin your tour with a late afternoon pickup from your Reykjavik hotel or alternatively, meet up with your air-conditioned minivan or coach at a central location in the city.

Then, set off through volcanic plains, pastures, and hills to the Secret Lagoon, Iceland’s oldest swimming pool. Recently renovated but still exuding old-fashioned charm, this outdoor pool is fed by natural hot springs seeping up from the earth, creating a crystal-clear and beautifully warm natural lagoon.

On arrival, use the changing facilities to either don your own bathing suit, or rent a bathing suit and towel (both at additional cost). Then, wade into the relaxing waters and soak in the picturesque scenery as you swim.

After a while, feeling duly revitalized, hop out of the water, and change back into your clothes. Then, reconvene with your guide and vehicle, and continue to a nearby country restaurant.

Take a seat and savor an appetizing buffet dinner of traditional Icelandic dishes, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to purchase (own expense) with your meal.

Afterward, hop back in your vehicle, and set out on a hunt for the Northern Lights, with your guide and driver using their local knowledge to seek out this natural phenomenon.

Travel away from any urban light pollution, and keep watch for the lights overhead as you hear the science and stories behind them. Stop at the best viewpoints known to your guide, and with luck, enjoy a sighting of the luminescent ribbons moving across the sky.

As midnight approaches, arrive back in Reykjavik, where your tour ends with a drop-off at or near your hotel or at a central location.

Please note: Sightings of the Northern Lights on this tour cannot be guaranteed, and are subject to conditions on the day.

Secret lagoon

Tour was fantastic, our driver and tour guide Halldor ensure we had a good trip. He took his time to look out for the Northern lights. Definitely recommend this trip. Communication with gray line was fantastic too.

The secret lagoon in our option was much better than the blue lagoon which is very commercial. We did the evening which was brilliant not busy, the meal afterwards was excellent and we were lucky enough to see the northern lights. The guide was fantastic. Thank you Serevenson
Good trip - even without northern lights
, Mar 2020
The trip was in an minibus, so a small group. The guide was simultaneously the driver. She was nice but sometimes not so easy to understand. She gave lots of Information about iceland. The tour is very long to the secret lagoon (first stop) which is a fantastic place to relax. Then at appr. 9 pm the dinner was served. It was a very good dinner in a restaurant near the secret lagoon. After that the northern lights hunt began. Unfortunately the acitivity was low so we did not see the lights. Moon was very bright that night too. The bus stopped at three locations to see if there are northern lights. I think this is okay because this nature phenomenon cannot be forced to appear. Warm clothes are absolutely necessary! I was back at the guesthouse late at night after a very nice evening.
Hot Pots and Northern Lights!

My daughter and I did a trip to Iceland for her 27th birthday and this was number one thing to do when we got there. Everything about the experience was GREAT. We had a fantastic driver/tour guide named Siggi who made it extra special. He provided so much information about things all around us, very informative, funny and kind!! The Secret Lagoon was an amazing experience, great facilities and an INCREDIBLE hot pot, loved it! The sky was clear and we were able to see the moon, stars and birds flying over. After a long dip Siggi took us on a Northern Lights hunt. We were told conditions were good but Mother Nature makes the last call. The prime window was between 10pm and midnight .... we found them, right at midnight and pulled over for a 15 minute show of pure awesomeness! There was a couple on our little group of 16 that had tried 5 times so far on this trip and number 6 was the lucky number for them even though it was number one try for us. If you see them take it all in and know just how special they are. Thank you Siggi for a very special birthday evening wrap up!
A special evening 🌙

Amazing trip - we managed to catch the Northern Light!!! Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. The secret lagoon was in a lovely secluded place, and was very intimate. And the icelandic buffet was very tasty, and set us up nicely for our northern lights hunting!
Secret lagoon, dinner and nothern lights
, Feb 2020
I was not very happy with the tour. To begin with we were supposed to arrive in 1 hour and 20 minutes and it took 2 hours, for this reason we were only 45 minutes in the secret Lagoon. Dinner was very good, delicious everything. Finally, the hunting of northern lights was not such a thing, the bus simply stopped twice on the road to Reykjavik where only the guide got off the bus and said that nothing could be seen through the clouds. At no time does the bus change route to “hunt” the auroras as the tour says, a description.
Secret Lagoon/Northern Lights

This was a great trip! Arachna was our tour guide and Jon was our driver. The lagoon was very private at night. The buffet dinner was delicious and the setting was very pretty. We did see the Northern Lights that night! Arachna was very knowledgeable about searching for the lights and gave us many interesting facts about the Icelandic culture. I would highly recommend this trip!
Secret Lagoon Northern Lights

This was a great tour. Unfortunately we didn't see the northern lights, but our guide certainly made ever effort. The secret lagoon was incredible. Basically only our tour group was there; very relaxing. The buffet was good and very filling. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared many stories.
Northern Lights

Very friendly staff. Our guide worked very hard to make sure we saw the northern lights. Great trip, good food, and great time.
A nice night or

The guide was excellent and despite the clouds, the rain and snow, our Northern lights chase included some fantastic incidental sights and interesting background The secret lagoon was nice, but seemed in a rush to close and get us on our way. The vegetarian dinner was awful, instant rice and beans and soggy frozen veg, the main food looked great and I did enjoy their salad and bread.
