Great tour

Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide and the company was organized. I had a prior glacier tour scheduled but they cancelled due to the weather but this tour re-arranged the itinerary so we were still able to hike. The hike was moderately intensive but worth it.

This was a great tour. Our guide Inky was very knowledgeable, insightful, and funny. Weather was sketchy at best and he was able to maneuver our trip so that we got the very best of the stops. I would highly recommend this trip and this company. Well done.

What a great tour! Our guide, Aaron was AMAZING! The waterfalls were gorgeous. The glacier hike was spectacular (a little more strenuous than I was expecting) and the views were great. The weather could have been better, but that's Iceland in the winter I suppose. The Lava museum was interesting and well done, and we stopped for ice cream before going back to Reykjavik. All in all, one of the best tours I've been on.

This was a fantastic tour and the highlight of our trip to Iceland, our tour guide was great so informative and witty (I'm terrible with names) the glacier hike was the absolute best. It was so unreal hiking up there and the guide was so knowledgeable and able to answer all questions and happy to do so. All equipment provided. The guide switched things around to make the most of the daylight for us so we did the hike as the second last activity. Plenty of stops and bathroom breaks and opportunities to grab a bite. The lava centre was the least enjoyable part of the day but hard to compete with the hike, waterfalls and the black sand beaches. A must do tour!!!

Best glacier hike tour in Iceland

This was by far the best tour we did in Iceland. This is our 2nd trip to Iceland and the first time doing a glacier hike with a teenager and a 9 year old. Our kids were the only ones out of a group of 10 people. Ryan was our guide and he was the best. There are no words to describe his patience and experience on the glacier hike. We were not sure until we got there whether we could even do the hike due to bad weather in Iceland (rain and wind). However, it was made possible only because of Ryan. He took us to all places listed on the tour and provided us with all the necessary gear. It was a once in a lifetime experience for us, especially for our kids. Ryan provided us with great tips and places to visit in Iceland during our stay and we enjoyed this tour mostly because of Ryan. He is passionate about hiking and that made us enjoy the glacier hike even more. Thanks Ryan for a nice memorable tour and nice pictures.

Hidden Iceland has given us an excellent impression for tour operators in Iceland. We were fortunate to spend our whole day tour with Holy. She was very knwoledgable, nice and patient. She is an all rounder: driving, guiding, dealing with impatient tourists. All in All. She picked us on time, no waiting whatsoever from bus stop #3. The bus was really nice and comfortable. No more than 10 other tourists with us so we got a very personal and close trip. She took us to the glacier and spent time preparing us for the hike: crampons, harness, helmet and axe. Holy is so awesome that she dealt very profesionally and patiently with a very disgruntled and difficult tpurist.KUDOS for you: Holly. She guided us to the glacier hike after we were all setup, took the time to tell us the good spots for awesome.pics. amazing sightseeing all the way. Glacier hike is no more dificult than going up and down on any hill. During the hike I had an unfortunate even with my boots: one of them detached from the sole. It was so funny, I had used these boots only once before, I couldn't beleive it. I guess that is the toll we panamanians pay with our very strong humidity. Holly was nice enough to let me borrow some boots for the rest of the trip. With these kind of experiences I am confident hidden iceland is making all the right choices: close, intimate and personal experience with their clients. DON'T SECOND GUESS: CHOOSE HIDDEN ICELAND.

The 'must do' trip

If you only do one trip whilst in Iceland make it this one. This trip is with a company called Hidden Iceland who offer small group tours and on this particular tour they take a maximum of 12 people. Travel was on a comfortable minibus (with USB charging points) and we had the benefit of Joe as our guide. He really knows his stuff regarding the geology and geography of Iceland. The scenery on this trip is amazing, from the snow covered volcanoes, frozen waterfalls, black lava beaches with dramatic crashing waves to the stunning colours and landscape of the glacier. Then on top of this a visit to the Lava Centre which just finished off an amazing day. A fantastic day out and the highlight of our trip to Iceland.
