Great whale watching tour

Excellent whale watching excursion. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgable and most importantly, great whale-spotters! They shared their excellent photos of the tour too. Would recommend to all and would use them again. (Their commitment to conservation and their research makes them an even more desirable company to use!)

A very pleasant experience, we sure did see mink whales and it was great. The staff was so nice and cheerful and the guide a very knowledgeable marine biologist. All in all a great experience and a company we would highly recommend.

Very proffecional crew staff tries to do everything with enthusiasm to spot the different animals, birds but the nature often like to hide herself. Catherine and Lukas Hvala Thank you

Good trip. Managed to see harbour porpoise and white nosed dolphins. Fantastic. No whale this time but these things can’t be guaranteed. Will definitely try again with same company when we return

Brilliant trip - despite not seeing any whales

I really enjoyed every part of the whale watching boat trip. The staff were all friendly and we were provided with warm overalls which meant we could spend as long as we wanted above deck on the boat (Bring lots of layers!). The commentary throughout the trip was informative and interesting. Although we didn't see any wildlife it was clear that the staff tried their best to find some, it's just what happens when you are working with nature. Despite this is was amazing to be on the ocean for sunrise and look at all the stunning scenery! I would highly recommend the morning trip and since we didn't see any whales we were given a free ticket to return in the next 2 years.

Whale of a day

We went out not expecting to see much. However the crew did everything they could to get everyone a chance to see a whale and we all did. They communicated well and even offered free sea sickness pills. They were on time and communicated well. I would recommend this adventure.

I was looking forward to seeing marine life I have not seen before. Apparently there was a whale, but I found only one passenger who saw it. It seems it was seen and move on, we have fulfilled the sighting. Once one was spotted there was no great desire to see another one for the majority who didn't see it. We spent loads of time watching Dolphins. There is an interesting area when you get off the boat to learn about the marine life around Iceland. Perhaps I was expecting too much!

Enthusiastic and mindful crew and guide.

We based our decision to use Elgin based upon TripAdvisor reviews and ecological focus of the company. Even though it was a chilly 45 degrees Fahrenheit in July and we all downed insulated full storm suits, we stayed on the top deck for the whole journey. It was amazing. We saw two individual Humpbacks and likely several Minkes as well as dozens of puffins, lesser gulls, and even an artic skirt

The logistical arrangements, the guides, staff, boats, buses and facilities were all excellent. Unfortunately though we didn't get to see any whales which was a shame. However, because of this we were given a voucher to book on a trip again in the next two years if we were to visit Iceland again which is a nice touch.
