Whale Watching and Golden Circle Tour from Reykjavik

Experience Iceland by water and by land on this full-day combo adventure. After morning hotel pickup, head to Reykjavik Old Harbour and climb aboard a boat for a whale-watching cruise. Set out into Faxaflói Bay, known as one of the best bodies of water in Iceland to spot native marine life including minke whales, harbor porpoises and white-beaked dolphins. A friendly onboard crew will help you spot these sea creatures throughout the 3-hour cruise.

Back on land, hop onto a comfortable coach equipped with onboard Wi-Fi and head inland for an afternoon tour of the popular Golden Circle tourist route. Disembark at Thingvellir National Park for a walk around the rugged landscape as your guide shares the geologic and political history of the park, where Iceland’s first parliament took shape way back in the first century.

Next, see the stunning double cascades of Gullfloss waterfall, where glacial water empties into a ravine from both sides. For a change in temperature, visit the steamy Geysir hot springs. Finally, stroll around the village of Hveragerði, built in the middle of a geothermal park dotted with natural hot springs.  

Admire the wild, bubbly terrain on the return drive to Reykjavík, where you’ll be dropped off back at your hotel in the evening.
