Great 3 hours in Rome

The guide was great informative friendly and knew his stuff. If I had just one small criticism it had to be the Communication devices when I looked around at other groups they had lanyards around their necks, ours were working but lanyards were missing meaning I had to hold mine for 3 hours. But the tour in total was well worth it.

Dennis the king of guides

Dennis (sounded like Denise I believe) was a master of his craft, he was a Rome/Roman history encyclopedia, this guy was extremely informative, he came across as a very kind person, very passionate of rome and it's history, he was also very engaging locked eyes with every group member over and over to ensure his knowledge had been understood. Seriously this guy knew his stuff and how to get the info inside your head. In our opinion he was the king of guides, Dennis set the standard to all of our past/future guides. He was in no way scripted, he would answer any questions then elaborated further, so be sure to ask away. We could stray away from the group for photos and catch up with them without any of the information being lost thanks to the radios, and Dennis's lack of any authority but, by all means respect the guide and the tour. The tour was 3 hours or over. He brought the tour to an end however, he was in no rush to get away, he was very happy to continue giving further information. Ok, tips: 1- Go into the office to the reception and get assigned to a group. 3 or 4 sets of people were asking as we soon to start "so how do we know what group we are in?" 2- Bring your own 3.5 jack earphones for the radio they give you for the tour, as the coloured one you get given, starts to hurt the ears, well for me and my wife's ears anyway. 3- Hydrate at the water fountain or go to the toilets which is just after entering the Roman forum, this is after the Colosseum so about halfway through the tour. 4- In these covid 19 related times be sure to take a couple of disposable face masks I say a couple because one member lost theirs and ran the risk of not being allowed entry to the landmarks. So for us this was a 10 out of 10 tour. Many thanks for the tour Dennis, the wealth of knowledge you have provided us is greatly appreciated. Take care all stay safe. Nick & Viri

Our guide Renata was extremely friendly, informative and enthusiastic throughout the entire tour. A tour of the Colosseum, Forum and surrounding areas wouldn’t be the same without such an informative and friendly guide.
