Last minute booking

It was the last day that I was in Rome and even though I have been there for 2 days still I didn't have a chance to go to the Vatican. When finally I went there I realized they don't sell tickets there anymore and if I don't have an online booking I couldn't get inside. I googled Vatican museum ticket and one of the few tickets with available tickets for the same time was this one so I booked it. The process is that after booking I had to go to a meeting point (which was close enough but not very easy to find) and then they took me to the Vatican and gave me ticket and I was on my own to see the museum. Remember to have the green pass and documents that they check everything at the gates. In general Vatican museum is definitely a must see and I am happy I did go there before leaving the city.
A good experience

The meeting point of this ticket is a block away from Vatican museum gate, I went there and showed my reservation on my mobile, then after almost 10 minutes someone took us (me and 2 other tourists) inside. We went through security check and green pass control and inside that gentleman gave us maps and tickets and left us. The Vatican museum is huge, I think it takes 20 minutes to walk from one side of it to the other side. It has many rooms and galleries and corridors full of paintings and artworks and statues but unfortunately very few signs and directions. If you go for the first time (and probably the only time in your lifetime), do yourself a favor and do a guided tour or at least buy audioguide, otherwise every five minutes you'll ask yourself so were am I again? The map is not very helpful and the directions are very easy to miss and most of the artworks are just there with no information at all. All in all it was a good experience, the School of Athens fresco is breathtaking and probably my favorite among others.

Do Not Bother

Our museum start time was supposed to start at 2:30pm. The agent made us wait over 40 min from our start date so she could work on paper work (telling us the time started at 3, however the start date explicitly stated a 2:30pm start.) It was this time that I based scheduling my following tour a few hours later. Her only task was to walk us to the museum and skip the line... which was 1 block away. Not only did she make us wait for no reason (as it wasn't a tour or waiting for a group of people), we waited on the regular line to get our tickets and scan our tickets. (this wait does not include the security line which, understandably, everyone has to wait on). Simply put, my wife and I could have just walked into the museum ourselves and purchased a ticket instead of paying more and doing the same exact thing but on time. Would NOT recommend.

The Tickets cost regulary 17€ p. P., we payed 29€ p. P. to book it from here. So we payed too much for nothing.

Dear Anna_E, Thank you for your review, as I personally explained via Whatsapp, we buy the tickets months in advance and when even the Vatican Museums official website has no availability our calendar is open and available all the time. The price that you have payed (29.99) per pax is as followed: 17 for the ticket, 8.40 commission of and 4.59 to us (local supplier in Rome) which is the least. In fact most of the difference that you've payed is the commission of Next time please do not book anything on OTAs and instead try and contact local suppliers (we all have websites and Google and Facebook and Instagram pages) and you will not only get a cheaper price but also help small business that we are all struggling. Thank you for your time. Kind regards Capitloium Tours Management

Nothing happened on time. We paid for the 0930 tour. We showed up early to be safe only to be told to return at 1015. Then at 1015 we were told we would not walk over until 1045. Save your money, there is no real “skip the line”. Just go to the Vatican museum and buy your tickets there without the mark up on price.
No waiting to get in!

Must See in Rome

Memorable experience although it was very crowded. Cannot imagine what it would be like in the middle of the Summer in the intense heat.

We arrived early and were allowed to enter early, which was great. Even though this is supposed to be the off season, it was very crowded and very hot. Just know that when planning. Skip the Line is the only way to go, though.
Mass confusion
, Jun 2019
While we did eventually get into the Vatican museums, which are awesome, this experience was as strange and confusing as any I’ve ever been party to. Be careful to note that in very small print not in the confirmation or the ticket, there is an address you need to go to to convert your Viator ticket to an actual entrance ticket. The location to do it seems very vague, and Im not sure it’s even in Rome proper. We missed that detail and had to call (which costs me $10 a day with Verizon). The help staff outside the museum is exceeedinly helpful, they helped me get to a location where I guess this company has a relationship because they managed to get us tickets and get us inside, now 30 minutes late for our original ticket time. I see it as grace from God that we made it inside without having to wait in line and buy a whole other set of tickets. Do yourself a favor, get a tour ticket with a guide who will meet you inside even if it costs a few more bucks...the guided tours also get you into St Peters immediately and for free. Regular skip the line folks have to exit the museum and get back into the Basilica line, which is very long. On an attraction note, the museum is substantially poorly air conditioned except for the Sistine Chapel. Wear clothing in the summer appropriately that follows the rules.

Informative staff

Staff really know their stuff!! Great speedy process friendly and helpful from the office staff to the tour guides. Recommend. Only comment would be to have the meeting point for second tour a hit lore organized, a generalistic meeting point does not work in such large crowds.
