Very informative and well organized
Joanna_S

Visiting small wine producers is a great idea. It gives much better insight who and how makes our wines. Jim - driver and tour guide - is super well organized, well informed and knows how to tell stories. The variety of wines presented shows the style and potential of the area.
icon Response from Host , Aug 2022
Thanks for the review, Joanna. We are pleased that you enjoyed the aspects of our tours that set us apart: organized, informed, entertaining---and visits to small wineries that aren't six degrees of separation from the actual winemakers. Having a great storyteller to drive you around is the icing on the cake!

Hi Jenifer. Glad you enjoyed the tour and made some connections with fellow tour guests. Our small tour groups (never more than 14 passengers) make it an intimate outing in wine country. Travel well! Spor (GM, Green Dream Tours)

The knowledge our guide had & shared with us made the trip even better! The wineries chosen were each unique & enjoyable.

Salut, Angie! Wine tours aren't just about wineries, but the history and context of the regions and their districts. We aim to educate while having fun...

We had expected a more...
Ellen_S
, Jul 2022
We had expected a more upscale experience. The first winery met with our expectations but the second and third did not. However, we enjoyed the lesson on taste testing that the third winery provided. We absolutely loved Jeffrey and felt lucky to have been included with such a lively group of people. Although the wine was okay, we had a blast with our group.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Hi Ellen. We want to thank you for your perspective of our Perfect Blend Napa/Sonoma wine tour. It truly highlights the subjective nature of wine and wineries. Not everyone loves the same wines or wineries. We do not attempt to visit the most upscale wineries, as those often draw large crowds, charge vast amounts for tastings ($75 - 125 per person per visit) and can take away from the intimate experience that we champion. Still, we do appreciate those places since wine country is a wide spectrum of styles, varietals, and prices. Since our tours are all-inclusive (we cover the tasting fees) we try to keep our prices the best in the Bay by visiting smaller facilities with long-standing relationships and deals we pass onto our guests. Next time you visit, let us curate a Private Tour and we can go to some super fancy vineyards, cave tastings, barrel samplings, etc. Believe me, in Napa/Sonoma, the sky can be the limit. We are pleased that you were able to learn about proper tasting techniques, which is something our small-production wineries on tour love to connect our guests to. This isn't always the case at larger, upscale establishments. Cheers!

It was so nice to relax...

It was so nice to relax and be taken to several wineries and to lunch in Sonoma and Napa! Jeffrey was our guide and he was great!
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Cheers to you, Patti! We certainly strive to make this effortless for our tour guests as we know as fellow travelers that it is nice to be pampered and not be responsible for all the details and planning needed for a trip to Napa and Sonoma. Having a guide like Jeffrey is like having your own valet along! Best regards...

The weather was perfect, the wineries selected not so much!
Arthur_R
, Jul 2022
The weather in Napa and Sonoma was perfect for wine tasting. For the price though I can’t recommend this wine tour. We visited three wineries and all were just OK , unremarkable and unrememberable. Strangely the first winery only offered 3 tastes of wine to us because we were a tour group. If we were not we would have received 4. The wine was OK, but the location was at least in the middle of the vineyard! The second winery was down a driveway that felt like we were driving to someone’s house. The wine was better than the first winery and we were told more detailed information about the wines which was appreciated. At the third winery, the wines were poured under a big outdoor patio. The location was way better than the wines which were tasteless . Our bus driver was pleasant and full of information and We stopped for a photo op at the Golden Gate Bridge. Our lunch (on our own) was at the Oxbow Public Market in Napa were the food choices were plentiful.
icon Response from Host , Jul 2022
Hello Arthur. We appreciate your review. Guest feedback matters a great deal to us at Green Dream Tours. We are pleased that you enjoyed our expert wine country guide and Oxbow Market in Napa for lunch. As for the wineries, I am not sure what the three vs four pours is about. All wineries are different in their current offerings and how many are selected for tastings. That said, we tend to support and visit small, sustainable wineries, choosing to go off the beaten path and away from the crowded, large tour groups. Some of these are one-man (or, woman) shows, with the others being small-production, hand-crafted wines from their districts. Of course, wine is one of the most subjective liquids on the planet and not everyone enjoys the same wines, so we are sorry that you weren't enamored with what they poured. Many of our guests love the wines and wineries that we select, but opinions can vary greatly. We hope you at least enjoyed the drive, the guide and the lunch.

Jim was a great driver, knowledgeable and helpful. Stopped at great wineries and plenty of wine tastings!! Lunch stop at Napa was a charming place to stop. Would highly recommend this tour!

Hello Diane! We are thrilled you had a fine time on our Perfect Blend Combo wine tour. It truly is our most popular and for good reason----proper wine country guides, beautiful scenery, helpful info, not to mention tasty vino! Lunch at Oxbow Market is a local favorite since variety is truly the spice of life. Saludos!

Great tour, fun guide, amazing wine
Sarah_K
, Jun 2022
There’s a reason this tour has 5 stars! We were guided by Jeffrey, a fun, knowledgeable, and kind person. We had a wild group of people from various geographical locations (NY, Germany, UK, Maryland…), which means we had a ton of fun and were maybe a lot for Jeffrey to handle, but he was very gracious and made the trip a lot of fun. We were picked up from our hotel and driven everywhere. We went to three wineries, with a stop in Napa for lunch. We’re humble university educators and the trip felt pricey for us but it was totally worth the expenses to be driven around, given healthy portions of wine samples, given endless water on the bus, and to be with fun, like-minded tour goers. It was a highlight of our weeklong trip to California.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Hi Sarah. Thanks for taking the time to write a thoughtful review. We love that you had a group from great spots on the globe. We do our best to provide tours that are informative, educational, and fun. Jeffrey, your guide, handles all three aspects well. We do stand by our assertion that we have the most budget-friendly, all-inclusive tour package in the Bay Area, covering all tasting fees with a fully-guided tour---not just a driver. We have kept our rates low during this time of economic uncertainty and hope you got your money's worth, along with some memories (and photos) for years to come! Cheers!

Relaxing day

Very relaxing day. Good driver with lots of knowledge. Last vineyard visited was the best. Nice to have hotter weather than san francisco.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Thanks for the good review. As they say, leave the driving (and guiding!) to us. We try to make our tours informative, relaxing and fun. It is quite amazing in the Bay Area that wine country (just an hour or so North) can be 20-25 degrees warmer than chilly SF! Cheers!

Fun day in wine country
Susan_T
, Jun 2022
Smaller boutique wineries give a better experience. The owners are sometimes there and take the time to talk to the group. Lunch at Oxbow Market was fast paced and fun. Good food options.
icon Response from Host , Jun 2022
Hi Susan. You took the words out of our mouths here at Green Dream Tours. We love to support smaller growers and sustainable winemakers. Oxbow is the model for what a "Food Court" should be: farm-to-table, local and without any national chains...

Each winery was beautiful and the employees were knowledgeable about the wines. We had a great time. Our guide knew a lot about the Napa and Sonoma areas

We never get tired of hearing about good experiences on our wine tours. We do aim for winery diversity and different scenery at each. Having a great guide makes a tour all the better. Best regards!
